  • Roy Jones Steroid Abuse

I am always surprised how little is made of this.

Quotes from the Commisioner of Louisiana

In 2000 Roy Jones tested positive for steroids. He was five or six times over an acceptable level.
Jones blamed this on an over the counter product called ripped fuel, which does not cause you to be 6 times over the normal limits, Jones was roided up to the eyeballs.

The IBF chose to do nothing. They wanted a second test to be done. But why take a second test when he failed the first one and admitted to taking a steroid? That’s where it ended.
    **** to rights..

Jacob Hall: “All I saw on any of the websites was that Murad Muhammad said Roy Jones tested positive for take some (nasal decongestant). But that was innaccurate. This was not a nasal decongestant.”
    oh dear.....

So anyway, pretty disgraceful all in all, how comes Roy gets a pass on this? The media ignored it pretty much, even though it was as bad if not worse than what disgraced drugs cheat Lamont Petersen did

Any positive testing has got to cast doubt on an entire career, how do we know Jones wasn't roiding against Toney and Hopkins? we don't know ****.

What do you think steroids actually do?

It amazes me how overplayed they are like you take this one pill & you'd be like a prime Ray Leonard overnight.

this is a pretty ****** question, as is your entire statement, but anyway here goes

They may help sports players train harder and longer.
If taken alongside a strenuous exercise regime, they may help with faster recovery times and with the building up of muscle mass.
So, pretty safe to say they give you an unfair advantage, hence why they are banned and their use classed as CHEATING in professional sports

Even with steroids you need a spot on diet, eating the right foods at the right times. You need to train hard and get enough rest. They aren't this misracle drug they're made out to be, if they was then we'd all be walking around at 220, ripped to the core with amazing god like reflexes, endless stamina & whatever else the misinformed boxing community wants to throw out there.

Not all these athletes fail because they're directly taking steroids and trying to 'cheat' many fail from something as silly as a contaminated supplement.

I am not condoning steroid use though the rep they have by the media is B/S
Without the ins & outs you don't know and frankly I'm not even sure how most people who don't have any knowledge in nutrition, AAS or anything else can even comment.

steroid use=CHEATING if anybody was using roids if i was fighting them id personally sue there ass off trying to get an uneven advantage everybody has a right to comment especially when its abt CHEATING so you dont have a problem with sportstars trying to get an advantage over there opponent
