It amazes me how overplayed they are like you take this one pill & you'd be like a prime Ray Leonard overnight.
They won't affect your skills or tactics but they make a very noticible improvements physically.

An athelete is responsible for what they put into their bodies.
And Roy was responsible even if you believe his story.
The guy shoul have been banned for at least a year to two years for this.
It certainly casts doubt over his cleaness over his career.

If Jones was an European fighter a lot more would have been made of this and his career and his standing in the sport would have been far more tainted.

Not all these athletes fail because they're directly taking steroids and trying to 'cheat' many fail from something as silly as a contaminated supplement.
I am not condoning steroid use though the rep they have by the media is B/S
Without the ins & outs you don't know and frankly I'm not even sure how most people who don't have any knowledge in nutrition, AAS or anything else can even comment.
People hear the word 'steroid' and their mind races, but they don't understand them at all.
As to the guy who said '70 percent of American athletes take something', I would agree with that except, it's more like 70 percent of elite athletes worldwide are running gear. Boxers, Football players, Cyclists, Rugby, Sprinters, whatever...

Jones blamed this on an over the counter product called ripped fuel, which does not cause you to be 6 times over the normal limits, Jones was roided up to the eyeballs.
**** to rights..
oh dear.....
So anyway, pretty disgraceful all in all, how comes Roy gets a pass on this? The media ignored it pretty much, even though it was as bad if not worse than what disgraced drugs cheat Lamont Petersen did
Any positive testing has got to cast doubt on an entire career, how do we know Jones wasn't roiding against Toney and Hopkins? we don't know ****.
If the Floyd lovers had a go at RJJ even half of what they do to Pac they'd have more credibility.
But it casts a massive shadow on him and his achievements.Last edited by hugh grant; 07-30-2012, 06:33 AM.

There wasn't a point in Roy's career when he suddenly went from great to phenomenal. He had a 121-13 amateur record, sparred with Sugar Ray Leonard and other champions, and was robbed of a gold medal that he deserved in the 1988 Olympic games.
Juicers tend to change a lot, but the only real change I see on Roy's career is when he got older and started losing fights as almost all boxers do thanks to old age. If there is something unusual in his career, I don't see it. Regardless, there are tons of juiced boxers with big loss streaks on their records. Steroids is certainly no way to victory.

When was Mosley's dramatic change, or Toney's or Vargas Petterson, Berto, Tarver...... Do I need to continue?

I never knew Roy tested positive for PEDs so TS is correct why is more not made of this lost a lot of respect for Roy.
The posters that defend there favorite favourite fighters when they test positive but accuse nowhere boxers who have never tested positive crack me up.
