Well, out of all the tapes and matches I seen. Which is like around 20-30 WW Fighters and around 100 fights. I have to go with Tommy Hearns. I obviously is only judging this on the ww fighters I seen which is

Oscar-Trinidad-Floyd-Hearns-Leonard etc these are the big names I seen mulitple fights of and out of all of them it's gotta be Hearns. But there is a difference between greatest h2h and greatest. I feel Hearns is the greatest
h2h, overall at least based on what everyone says it's probably Robinson or Leonard.

based on their accomplishments, young one. must i really go through them with you being so rude in your inquiry?

armstrong has the most defenses of the WW championship. 17 or 18 defenses if i remember correctly, and he holds the record for stoppages in title fights at the weight. he owned it while defending the LW and FW titles, and came close to winning a title at MW, drawing with ceferino garcia. he was blessed with one of the best engines ever in boxing. his chin is among the greatest as well. despite not having the traditional knockout punch, he was

robinson lost one fight to jake lamotta (a MW,) during his tenure as a WW, and he beat him in their other four or five fights. he's got multiple victories over kid gavilan, another man regarded as one of history's greatest WW. he won 94 fights in a row at or around WW, fighting mostly top contenders and former champions.
he's regarded as the best P4P fighter of all time and he's a natural WW. he had speed, bone breaking power in both hands, a granite chin, and at WW he was large at almost six feet tall with a longer reach. if he had a flaw it was that he was such a savage that he left himself open to be hit. he made up for it with that chin of his.

are you insinuating that i dont know what they accomplished and that i'm just regurgitating information i've heard? that i'm not qualified to speculate on the top welterweights of all time? i'll guess that's what you're trying to do.

you've been here for how long?

You talking about a 5'11 welterweight with a 72.5 inch reach. He's basically the size of Felix Trinidad at 147, except he's 10X the boxer. He birthed Ali's style. Great footwork, circled around the ring, keeps you under control with the jab, had a vicious lead left hook and was also a solid inside fighter. When you got a fighter with that size, those skills and add the power, chin and heart to go with it? Who's fuccin with someone like that at 147?

What fights have I seen of Sugar Ray Robinson: Minimal footage at Welterweight, at middleweight (in which he was past his prime) I've seen all the Fullmer fights, Castellani, Basillo, Turpin and LaMotta to name a few. Really what's ever available to the public I've seen.

And don't even let me get started on his resume. I don't even think I need to go into any detail on that.

i've never spoken with you before. if there's another new england with whom you regularly associate it's not me.

when you inquired about my choices for my best three welterweights it sounded as if you were implying that i'm simply repeating names that i've heard from others, which is insulting to the 15 years i've dedicated to learning about this sport.
