    Current British middleweight crop

Seeing as Sergio is fighting Chavez Jr & Geale is taking on Sturm, Golovkin vs whoever, that & most of the British middleweights are looking for opponents etc
I would to see a British middleweight tournament to find out who the best in Britain is, maybe even something similar to Prizefighter.

Darren Barker, Matthew Macklin, Billy Joe Saunders, Eamonn O' Kane, maybe Proksa seeing as he is U.K based, Craig McEwan, Andy Lee, John Rider

I don't think Eubank Jr is anywhere near ready & his lack of power is a real concern in my eyes.

Would love to see something like this go down.
    Thoughts?

Maybe even chuck Nick Blackwell into the mix or have as a reserve.

definitely some very interesting match ups in there! Not sure about a prizefighter style tourney though, alot of the time it doesnt find the best boxer.

i would most like to see Darren Barker, Martin Murray and Matt Macklin take on each other as they have proven themselves to be almost exactly the same level on the world stage. Billy Jo one for a few years for sure!

Yeah Saunders isn't quite at that level yet.

I still want Macklin vs Barker or Murray against either.
I'd probably give Barker a slight edge but there is really nothing between them.

Nick Blackwell looks to be improving at a rapid rate too, I think he maybe a bit of a darkhorse myself.

O'Kane and Billy Joe aren't ready yet.

But throw in Andy Lee and have a 4 man tourny with him Macklin, Barker and Murray and Im all for it.

Its about time these guy's fought each other.

Hell they can even pretend Macklin is Irish and say its 2 Irish men v 2 Englishmen to help promote it

After Murray, Barker and Macklin tested themselves at world level i had a feeling they may have faced eachother.
Not happened yet but hopefully they do soon as some potential good fights to be made there.

Definitely like to see Barker, Lee, Macklin & Murray face each other. Doesn't neccessarily have to be a prizefighter style tournament (which could be a real let-down imo).

Do it over a year or two, line the fight schedule up right and at least it gives these guys some competitive action. Similar to a Super Six but not stretched out as long.

I'm looking forward to see how Billy Joe develops. Got high hopes for that kid.

Eubank Jr has got a lot of developing to do. Some things he does well but his lack of power (less so) and desire to duke it out with guys is a worry.

Yeah a super six style tournie without so much drag would be superb.
I'm not sold on Eubank Jr I am really not. He has his dad behind him who was a superb technician and reallly knows his stuff but I don't know I just can't really see Eubank Jr going very far tbh though its early days & he still has plenty of maturing to do.

So many great fights to be made at 160.

Can't believe that at least 2 of our top middleweights haven't fought yet. Barker-Macklin was being talked up a while back but nothing materialised. I think it'll take one of 'em to get a belt, then we'll start seeing the big fights. Having said that, they aren't exactly young anymore.

I'm really excited about the crop of youngsters coming through at middleweight now though, going to be a great division for us in a few years!

I have no interest in Billy Joe Saunders and the others.
