Absolutely right. The difference is that Arce has been in more wars than Cotto but that's not my point. Once again I'm not accusing Cotto of quitting against Margarito. Cotto fought very hard until breaking point. No shame in that. My problem is that out of all the fighters you chose Arce. The one known for not quitting. You should of said Ortiz.

Now I understand your point. Arce is not the first fighter you think of when of quitters. I just used him because he was the OP's avatar. Ortiz, Judah, etc. are all better canidates then Arce.Absolutely right. The difference is that Arce has been in more wars than Cotto but that's not my point. bullshit
he has a nice KO streak going, but only the Williams KO matters
Martinez' power is overrated
and Chavez is simply too damn big for him to stop
he better just stick to trying to outbox him
if he goes in attacking, Chavez' body attack will wilt him
thinking more and more Chavez might pull it off
for now still think Sergio gets a tough decision
but if he insists on a KO, he's gonna loseComment

Those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Look to your avatar, pal.
Isn't that Arce?
^^^^ Lol this fight already goin' on. Oops.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on this fight. Sergio is the rightful favorite, but Jr is a waaaayyy live underdog. And he can take a shot. If this fight ends by KO, it'll be Jr doing the knocking.despite what everyone else thinks, Chavez Jr has improved a lot since he hooked up with Roach. Its so easy to dismiss Chavez Jr. last 3 opponents, but each one was a step up in competition and he got a decisive victory in each one. This is not the same fighter who fought Matt Vanda in 2008, he's improved, and anything can happen in a boxing match, including a 37 year old fighters getting old overnight in the ring.Last edited by lefthook2daliva; 07-17-2012, 05:39 PM.Comment

Not going to happen..Serge! Jr's too big and will bully all night. If Martinez's age catch up with him during the fight and slows him down, he's going to have a serious problems with the big boy Jr.Comment

i like how you compare chavez jr to margarito the irony in that two f$#kn cheaters.....i think most of the boxing experts sees martinez winning against chavez jr. Yes! Martinez will be moving, punching using his speed, angles for the first half. Then chavez jr. Will slowly catch him with thunderous body shot and will make him realize that his in for the fight of his life. The strong chinned chavez jr. Will win this fight because he will keep coming until martinez does'nt want to fight anymore. Chavez jr. Is the better version of margarito with more bulk, better defense, much power, more intelligent with a lot of determination. Chavez jr. Still underrated but after the fight just like danny garcia (which i predicted he will win) he will be at the top.

Given that team Chavez has been running from this fight for 2+ years, I don't even think this fight will happen. On the outside chance it does, look for Martinez to take advantage of his speed advantage and Jrs poor defence. Chavez will have his moments, but Martinez will be outlanding him 2-1. Martinez hurts him badly in the 10th, and in the 11th, Roach throws in the towel with Jr being pummeled but still on his feet and still tryingComment

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Jr. gets knocked the fuck out ala Paul Williams. If he wins however I won't find a reason to hate on the guy and I admit he's doing more currently than Canelo who I like.Comment
