Macklin and Barker are no world beaters and they won several rounds vs Martinez, Martinez's biggest win actually in Paul Williams or Kelly Pavlik, both are nothing special.

So while Chavez hasn't been that impressive, he has shown an improvement of late and this fight should be incredibly competitive. Its still a very weak Middleweight era though.

if martinez will fight as tentative and less engaging as he was in his last 2 fights against barker and macklin, he can't stop chavez that early. i even think that martinez will try to box more with this fight given that chavez will try to bring the fight inside and target sergio's body.

Chavez Jr, should watch out - the curse of the Pacquiao lost is running rampant in the Wild Card Gym! Khan fell to the curse, now it's going for Chavez Jr. Roach better train Chavez Jr to have due diligence with Martinez, b/c Maravilla isn't a push-over. He has that KO power (ask P.Williams). Don't do a "Khan" and think that he's a KO artist...b/c not even Pac is a KO artist. Don't know what Roach has to do about his wards losing.

Where as, chavez has never lost to anyone anywhere. There is no blueprint. 46 men have tried to establish a blueprint and 46 men had the hell beaten out of them.
dude delete your account ,you dont know s hit about boxing and you are just a chavez jr nut hugger

Chavez has the will to win but I see Sergio out working him most of the fight! I do think it will be a later KO if it does occur.

I cant see Martinez KOing Chavez. Chavez goes to the ring as a CW. He is a huge guy and probably can take a lot of punishment. If Martinez does stop Chavez, he should stop looking for a fight against 154lber and move up to challenge Ward, Bute or Froch.

I doubt he will KO him but Sergio should definitely be looking to outbox him for the majority of the the 12 rounds. He's a different class to Chavez Jr.
