he said his jaw was broken in the second, and now the fifth? his people claimed it was broken in the second i believe.

it was broken in the final round. he pulled straight back and took a flush left hook to the jaw when his mouth was wide open. his entire demeanor changed. that's when the real damage happened

none of the profuse bleeding, altered speech, etc came before that left hook when his mouth was wide open. if his jaw was broken before the final round it was not broken nearly as badly as it was broken in the final round.

that makes too much sense for me to believe that it's what he was actually talking about.

        the gun
        i jumped it.

i did not even read his final sentence (explaining that "manny" was better with tall fighters.) that would have certainly led me to stop believing that he was talking about pacquiao

when you get used to seeing such total bogusness around here you tend to expect it to be coming out of everybody's mouth

Ive been saying this since the last Ortiz fight. Cunningham is the trainer Ortiz should be training with. Cory Spinks and Devin Alexander, both champions and both southpaws, train under Cunningham. St. Louis produces southpaws like chickens produce eggs and hes the best trainer they have. Boom home run IMO.

I think Virgil Hunter, Ward's godfather and trainer, would do nicely with Victor. Dallas Jr. has been on a roll since taking on Virgil as his coach. And, Virgil brought out the best Chazz Witherspoon we have ever seen against Seth Mitchell.

Virgil is very intelligent, very disciplined, and he could sharpen up Ortiz' technical abilities. Victor needs someone he can get along with, but not be wholehearted friends with. That's when Victor has issues, when he's too close with his trainer. He needs someone he meshes with well, gets along with, but at the same time someone who doesn't play games either.

Garcia Is A Clown, And Now Is Going to Mis-Manage Marcos Maidana!

Your fighter is fighting his azz off. He tells his cornerman Garcia in the 5th Round, his jaw is broken. Garcia chooses to disbelieve Ortiz and instructs him to grind out two more rounds. The pain becomes so excruciating, Ortiz can't continue. If you've ever had a jaw broken, you know the severity of the pain, not to mention getting hit repeatedly on that jaw. It's later learned the damage to his jaw was so bad, it requires surgery to insert a metal plate and screws. Garcia you Clown, you could have ended your dearly beloved "first champion's" career! NOW, he has Marcos Maidana in his camp. Maidana, a killer at 140, tested waters at 147, and wasn't able to hold off a Devon Alexander, who probably weighed 155-160lbs on fight night, and Maidana admitted later, Alexander was too big, he didn't feel fast or strong enough at 147, and that 140 makes more sense for him. SO, Garcia is seeking to line Maidana up with Canelo at 147, Canelo will easily weigh 160 on the night of the fight, and most definitely get your boy Maidana beaten to a pulp, probably stopped, jeopardizing yet another potential superstar future/career, BY MIS-MANAGING HIS CAREER! Garcia, are smoking too much wacky weed?!!? Wake up and LISTEN to what your fighters are telling you. ******!

good move for ortiz......this guy garcia played russian roulette with ortiz's health. he should've stopped the fight instead sending him back out there with a broken jaw for 4 more rounds and making his fighter look bad by quitting......again.

Can't judge Garcia because as a coach he must have thought that Victor was craying wolf and was not going to allow his pupil to quit then live with, what if? On his mind. As a coach Garcia knows his fighter lacked balls and this is something no coach, no matter how good he is, is going to teach him. Courage is something we learn as a child and continue to develope as we get older. Look at what happened with Khan this past weekend. He knows he doesn't have a chin and was scared of Garcia, and Roach knows his got a fighter that lacks balls. It is what it is.

Robert Garcia trains Maidana not Danny (victor's trainer)
