Great take bro, I feel like Ortiz broke his jaw in the 9th and freaked out. His demeanor changed in an instant with that 9th round punch, prior to that he looked like typical Vic between rounds. Whether or not he could/should continue is completely up to him but Vic's manager/GBP are in complete spin mode so it look's like Garcia is the scapegoat. Immediately after the fight his manager says 2nd, than 5th and now Schaefer is blaming Garcia for not stopping the fight in the Lopez and Maidana fights. This is the only way to rebuild what's left of Vic's career by using Garcia as the fall guy.he said his jaw was broken in the second, and now the fifth? his people claimed it was broken in the second i believe.
it was broken in the final round. he pulled straight back and took a flush left hook to the jaw when his mouth was wide open. his entire demeanor changed. that's when the real damage happened
none of the profuse bleeding, altered speech, etc came before that left hook when his mouth was wide open. if his jaw was broken before the final round it was not broken nearly as badly as it was broken in the final round.Comment

He needs to understand, even more than using a jab, that if he wants to be a converted lefty he has to stay lefty. His biggest problem and one of the main reasons he gets tagged so easily and so clean is because he squares up every time he throws his left as if he naturally wants to turn back to righty. He steps all the way in bringing his left leg up along with him. Worst mistake I've seen a world champion level boxer make on a consistent basis, fight after fight.Comment
