But now I see Donaire's REAL AGENDA & feelings on fighting Rigo, I must say in the back of my mind, I did think he may attempt to avoid Rigo.

Now its become obvious thats what he's doing, 2 fights at 122 & your already wanting to go to 126lb's??, lmao, ok Donaire, your scared of Rigo, & enlight of Donaire's comments on wanting to be the best, he's a Straight up "phony", & is like all the other fighters, duckin a real challenge cause the big bucks arent involved, lol.

Donaire must know & isnt assured in his own mind, that he can beat Rigo, man its sad, I actually thought Donaire was different, the exception, but NOPE, Ive lost A HUGE!! amount of respect for this guy. Im now a Rigo Fan big time, he must be a TRUE BEAST if even Donaire doesnt want to tangle with him, lol.

Now on to a more "Taboo" subject but EQUALLY OBVIOUS, Its become Apperant Now that the 2 Biggest Promoters in the Sport in Top Rank & GBP , arent really Promoting their BLACK FIGHTERS, theres a BIAS there, didnt say RASCISM neccessarily, But a PREDJUDICE nontheless, & yes Im sure its most about the $$$, but lets not fool are selves for "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS" sake, we live in a very RASCIST World & the Black Fighters these days is not popular like the Latino or Euro Fighters are, thats a FACT folks.

Im sure there are "more reasons" than just 1, but its pretty obvious, I mean TOP RANK has Rigo, yet he isnt a big Star based on his Talent. Bradley is an exception, NOT THE RULE, so lets not go there, & Mayweather Jr is " Super Talented" yet is very "Typical in a Sterotype kinda way", & thats what the powers that be like to promote in the Black fighters, be super talented & vile, & the social media powers can turn you into a hated "Villian" lol, then you sell & gain a following lol ha ha.

Its True, & you know it is, what a f u c k ed up World we live in, be a normal, emotionally stable Black fighter whose not really " charismatic" in any
way(like Andre Ward) & theyll call you "boring" & not sellable or promotable to the Public. lmao
I don't think it's racism necessarily though. I think it's just that Top Rank and Golden Boy always specialized at reaching Latino customers. It's what they know how to do best. Don King was good at promoting to black talent, but now that the best fighters avoid working with him, black boxers go to a manager like Al Haymon to get them the exposure. And I don't think that makes Al Haymon racist. His company promotes big time RnB and Hip Hop artists, so naturally, his niche is in reaching out to black audiences.

Everyone's got their niche, and it's just necessary the way the boxing business is set up. Until big fights get back on network TV, boxing is going to have a small audience, and promoters will have to keep concentrating on certain groups to make the most of the situation.

Exactly. We're fans, not managers. Why should we care about protecting any particular fighter's future paydays. I want to see who's the baddest in the division.

When was the last time Donaire looked "elite"? Montiel?

How is he suppose to prove himself, when nobody wants to fight him?

Rigo is the WBA champ. You sound like one of those chimney sweeps you speak so fondly of......

              Would be interesting.....

              wtf is wrong with people?
WTF is wrong with you? The man has a major belt & Donaire said he wanted to be undisputed champ, right? Fcuk that WBOgus belt, get one of the original 2 belts (WBC, WBA), then go for the IBF. But Donaire is shook, he don't want beef, he wants cupcakes....

Then Donaire should make the fight then since he Mathebula, - did he earn it?

Remember Pac back then didn't have the present skill set he has now, don't sleep.....

again. i judge a "good opponent" based on 3 things............1. timing (how did he look in his last bout)

arce looked horrible in his last fight to me (he fails number 1)

              2. style.

arce's style will play right into donaires style.........thats not up for debate (style wise the fight is a complete joke)

              & number 3.........overall resume.

arce as a opponent fails number 1 & 2. but his resume is better then rigo.......while rigo looked better in his last fight & has a much difficult style vs anything arce could ever dream of.

you can't strictly look at a "name" when it comes matchmaking. because thats how guys duck & pick there way to the top.

but ALL OF This is irrelevant because donaire said that he won't fight rigo. he's looking to move up in weight before sharing a ring with rigo.

              (which is shocking & hilarious)
              +1

A past it Cordoba. A Cordoba that got beat by sorry ass Bernard Dunne.

              His step up ******.

I agree he needs more than 10 fights to start calling people out especially when his only real step up had him backpedalling half of the fight.

People he wants hit harder than Cordoba.

He still needs to prove himself.

Kennedy and Ramos were a step back after his supposed step up.
              Mathebula was a step-up? GTFOH

Let's see him against a puncher.

I will believe the aggresiveness and all that jazz if he proves it against someone who can crack.

Ramos had one iffy win. Teon Kennedy has lost to inferior fighters.

Rigo has some selling to do.
Donaire claims to be a puncher. Why doesn't he Rigo then, should be easy, right?

donaire got marked up by vazquez jr, but so what? donaire has a soft face...and also add to the fact that vazquez jr isn't a feather fisted fighter either (far from it). and doanire still manage to clearly beat vazquez jr (not by sd ..should have been ud) and knocked down vazquez jr for the first time in his entire career as well with a vicious uppercut followed by a soft left hook.

and both guys were ranked in the top ten best sbw..vazquez jr a former world champion and mathebula the ibf world champion.

also i don't agree with a arce fight next, but donaire said that he wants one more belt and then he's moving up..arce doesn't have a belt, nishioka doesn't have a belt unless he fights and beats mares to get his wbc title back...so only logical opponent for donaire to fight to get that third belt is rigo. so donaire fights arce, if nishioka fails to beat mares (assuming he fights mares) then there is only mares and rigo left..and mares is with gbp.
              Soft face? Excuses......

I am ok with him fighting anyone. I just don't like when people think he is all that just yet.
Well he is a belt holder, so he is supposed to be 1 of the best. Common sense is if you claim to be one of the best, you fight the best. Donaire doesn't have the heart to call anyone out.

Arce got that KD, but it didnt look good for him after..and that "performance" earned him a fight with Donaire? >__>...Whatever bro lol. All we need now is him to move up to 126 and fight for a vacant title and act like he's proven lol. Whats he gunna do when Rigo chases him to 126?

Lets not act like Donaire hasnt lost, Pac Boy if you want to be fair. Rigo has a title, Donaire wants to unify. That should mean "fight on" but instead it's one of the funniest things we've heard "Unify. With 3 titles". That'd be like Chavez Jr saying he wants to fight the best in the division and be considered the top dog..but not against a lefty..We all know who that'd be directed at (Theyre fighting though!)...and we all know why Donaire conveniently doesnt want the 4th title.
Very well put... a duck is a duck...is a duck and i am Asian to

                • Bottom line, Rigo needs to get a life outside of Donaire. It's gotten old. I can name 5 fighters or more who would be great matchups with Rigo. There is life after Donaire. Rigo needs to call out or setup a defence against one of the others. He isn't tall but he could jump a division at least. Right now he is living in dark and hoping Donaire brings a lantern into his life. He needs to get on with his life and just box someone.

                    • Thank god his contract is almost up. I've been sayng it for awhile now, Bob Arum would not match Rigondeaux with good fights until Donaire is out of the division, which is most likely why Rigo is getting his 2nd straight ehhhhh fight in a row.
