While I kind of see your guys' point. Not only are Ward and B-hop two different fighters, they have similarities but are very different, but Ward is also nearly 20 years younger then Bernard, and that does matter. I love Bernard, I really do, but he's nowhere close to where he was even 4 years ago.

Ward is entering his prime as a professional fighter. That's not to take anything away from Chad, any form of Bernard is a tough fight, but you can't just outright say "Oh, because Dawson was able to handle a 47 year old B-Hop, he'll handle a 28 year old elite fighter with a somewhat similar style the same way" I mean, Ward has a lot more different elements to his style compared to Bernard. As of right now, Ward is a good bit faster then Bernard, physically stronger, has MUCH sharper reflexes and is just OVERALL a better fighter at THIS point, and that's coming from a loyal B-Hop fan.

I mean, yea Ward and Bernard both fight on the inside a lot, but they do it almost completely differently. Ward gets more physical with his opponents. I'll say this much, Dawson will bring the best out of Ward. But as of right now I have to go with Ward based on consistency, his versatility as a fighter, and I think he's a mentally stronger fighter as well. And I think when rounds 7, 8 and 9 roll around and it's been a competitive fight, Ward will go up another gear and will separate the very good fighters, from the elite. Dawson is a tremendous talent, but I think he's just a small notch below Ward.

I live in Walnut Creek and drive by the arena every day.....I found out because I personally know someone on Dawson's team. I enjoyed hanging out with everyone at the press conference.

Bomani Parker, one of the great amateurs was at the press conference too. I spoke with him....he is a great guy, always smiling, nice to everyone. He set some amateur records as well back in his day. He fought Al Cole, Andrew Maynard, etc. Chad and Andre were cool too.....I got their autographs.

all is well in the world so long as these two make it through camp healthy and fight eachother.

not looking for a barnburner, though i love a good dust up
                    dont care this time around.

i want to see who is better.

I already consider Ward top 5 p4p. I have Chad right outside #10,

a win over Ward, especially at 168 would put him up there, atleast 7 or 8 imo.

And am I the only one who thinks Dawson is gonna be unfazed by the move down to 168???.....I'm expecting him to show up well over 180 on fight night anyway
