Shaw Said that it would be a fight between two clean fighters and that made me wonder.

He said that because the general public has become very leary of all the exposure of bad situations with boxers lately and it was directed at the media for promotional reasons. Doesn't hurt to say that in the wake of what has happened lately, especially to the public who need assurance at this time and especially for a fight of this magnitude that a clean fight is what they will get....it is an attempt to draw in casual fans who have doubts these days about Boxing.

I reckon it will hurt if he cannot back it up. Plenty of fans are turned off by the recent doping cases that includes some fighters who, like Ward, are clients of the infamous Balco chief Victor Conte.

If Chad's team was honest about him being around 179 then it really shouldn't be an issue dropping those last 10 for the day before the fight.

I had a chance to meet Chad about 2 weeks before the first Hopkins fight and he looked slim but definitely wasn't shredded and looked like he can afford to shed some pounds with no issue.

Like i said...i'm expecting him to come in at somewhere around 180 on fight night anyway.

Very honest.....I have known his trainer for 10 years and spoke with him yesterday.
