How they prepare would fall under their motivations/drive. Even casual fans love seeing them do hardcore workouts. I meant like working on a specific technique over and over would get boring to people. The preparation leading up to the fight, in terms of any road blocks or set backs in training, how they feel emotionally, what motivates them, how they got started, how they grew up, family life. What keeps them hungry, and what makes them the best of the best. I might have worded it wrong in the previous posts, but you know what i mean. Im speaking in the view of a casual fan, im not advocating for the boxing purists.

Oh no, that stuff is all good. I'm referring to the people complaining about "boring personalities" and not wanting to see episodes about their family life.

All I'm saying is that if you want personalities, watch a reality tv series or read TMZ.com.

I will watch it if I am having trouble going to sleep. I am sure it will be a good fight and I look forward to it. However, the only fighter who makes 24/7 worth watching is Floyd Mayweather. A Mayweather/Martinez 24/7 would be great to watch, but not Ward/Dawson.

Bradley was considered to be a top 10 p4p fighter at the time and Alexander was considered the second best fighter in the jr welterweight division. While it's not the same as Dawson-Ward, the circumstances are eerily similar. Two top Americans fighters that HBO decided to spend a ton of money on just for the sake of having a new American star. (which probably won't happen). I'm just hoping I'm wrong about the money part since I haven't heard any specific numbers.

I never said two top fighters should never fight each other because Alexander vs Bradley ******. I'm saying the the fight is going suck because both fighters are known for having sucky fights. Simple as that. At least Bradley-Alexander seemed like an okay fight at the time. You don't need to foresight to know how Dawson-Ward will play out.

Who the hell thought Martinez and Williams would be boring? Please find someone who said that. Martinez was coming off a couple good performances and Williams has always been known to be an action packed fighter.

Dawson and Ward and on the other hand are known for having stinkers.

some of the best fights happen when you dont expect them to be great
So HBO should go around investing in fights that aren't expected to be good? What's the point of that? Yes, I get this is boxing and anything can happen, but I rather have good matchmaking than going around looking for fights that have a 1% of being good just for the sake of having two top guys going at each other. There are better fights for both Ward and Dawson in their respective divisions.

This is one of the reasons why I don't care if Rigo vs Donaire ever happens. It's going to suck. Horrible styles clash just like Dawson vs Ward screams styles clash.

Great, since Ward is my second favorite active fighter and I like Dawson as well. Looking forward to it and the fight.

Should be an excellent fight... 24/7 on two kings of their weight classes, a great thing for the fight and the sport!
