But seriously, I hope Mayorga is just running his mouth to get some attention
P.Will?? Oh the one that got KTFO by Martinez and just got whooped by lara(no disrespect to Williams) but he was not a good choice for me either! Kirkland?? The injured one? Uh no! Ortiz??!! Lmak are you serious the welterweight?? None of those were good fights! If you think the CHAMPION should of taken one of those 3 fights. That's not the best out there.... **** at least Chavez is fighting the Middleweight King as of now

Ortiz and Kirkland were pretty good match ups considering Canelo hasn't fought anyone on that level yet. People were surprised and excited when hearing the news he was going to sign those fights. Its debatable whether they were the best out there for him at the time. Of course Ortiz doesn't seem like it now.

I kinda thought Canelo was getting past these types of matchups and I can't really see how Mayorga is worthy of a title shot these days. But it should be entertaining, at least.

Nothing against Canelo....but is this the GREAT FIGHT that De La Hoya has been bragging about??? This is a slap in the face not only to boxing fans, but to Canelo himself. Worst of all, this is the fight Golden Boy is going to put head to head against Chavez vs Martinez? Has Golden Boy lost their marbles? Canelo does not deserve this. His Pay per View numbers will pummel and he might end up having to take lower purses in his upcoming fights. Canelo should man up and demand that Golden Boy changes the day of this event.

This a lose-lose situation for Canelo. He's fighting someone he's supposed to beat (again) and if he looks bad, he'll get criticized. If Canelo doesn't stop Mayorga, then GB has a big problem. Not stopping Mosley is one thing, but not stopping a faded fighter who has been stopped numerous times in his career? Canelo via 7th round TKO.

I agree. I'm thinking if they do put this on regular TV, they are picking Mayorga, because he will hype the fight up better than anyone else and give Canelo the exposure they are looking for. I think putting the fight on regular TV has the potential to cause people to watch the fight that didn't know about Canelo before it. Seeing Mayorga talk mad **** in the build up, is the best thing for exposure at this point. I don't thing its that bad of a move, but it is disappointing to boxing fans.

If Canelo wants to learn different styles he should leave that belts to fighters that wants to compete.

You mean bigger threat than Mayorda?
                    Lara, Vanes, Trout, Bundrage,Rosado,Ishe,Mundine,Rabchenko,Ota,Delvin Rodriguez,Carlos Quintana,Jonak,Freddy Hernandez,Nikola Stevanovic.

You make no sense whatsoever. If he knocks out everybody ANYWAY, so why not make him fight Charlie Zelenoff? It would be fun too wouldn't it?
Seriously, just change the sport, wrestling is something for you.
Also, what's your point about him not looking for threat? Does it mean we should be happy about Mayorga or what? Seriously man, please make some sense when you write.

Those wasn't "all best fights" and they were not best either.
Williams was great fight, but they obviously thought Paul was finished, then Kirkland was coming of a fight when he was schooled and got a gift and was also coming off a injury and Ortiz was smaller man. There are definitely better fights than Kirkland and Ortiz still avaible.
You sound like you're whining a lot now, this is beyond my control, the best I could do is state my opinion, if you disagree, it's fine, just stop sounding like a little bltch while you do so..

also, I meant, who has Canelo fought that was a bigger threat than Mayorga...Mosley?..go ahead and say Mosley!!..lmao..thing is you're not making ANY sense here, Mayorga still brings ratings something that not one of those guys mentioned can bring..they bring NO $$$, nothing about your whining will change that..Boxing is a business not a showcase to make crybabies like yourself happy, We're in the dark ages, where there's no such thing as the best fighting the best, it's about building up a resume to look like the best and become a HUGE PPV draw to bring in the most money..

Im on this one with you man. I was a fan from the first time I saw him fight in the US but Im done. Im no longer behind this kid. Whether he fights Cotto or Floyd next cause it's obvious if he does it will be just for the money. No way he beats neither one of these two. Especially fighting these shot fighters. Anyone who believes Canelo wanna fight the top dudes (Lara, Kirkland, Molina, Trout) in his division is full of ****.

At least Cotto is proven and it was a good pay check. Your little idol, on the other hand, hasn't don't **** since he came into the US scene but fight old ass shot fighters.
