Name a decent threat to Canelo....I'll wait..

Canelo is being protected..they totally ignored Lara, and Vanes..they don't want any part of it...

Bundrage suckssss and Trout is unknown and also no threat whatsoever...

Mayorga is no prime elite fighter, but he brings the entertainment factor and also brings a style that Canelo hasn't seen..

Sure Canelo KHTFO..but he does that to Bundrage, Trout, Spinks, and all those other cans they planned on feeding him to..atleast with Mayorga you get some funny promotion and a decent chin that'll keep Canelo working..

Stop acting like Canelo really had his eyes set on an actual threat..it's not happening soon..so keep dreaming..

You can't blame him for it. He's a young kid being paid by these guys, of course he's going to listen to them. They already tried to sign all the top fighters available, so its not like they intended to feed him a bum. Although, they could have easily found someone better than Mayorga.

Learning should be the objective for any young fighter coming up. Tune up? He doesn't need a tune up, he needs someone good enough to bring him a long that much more every time. Tune up? hahahaha

P.Williams/Ortiz/Kirkland. Williams wasn't the best fight available, but it was a fight that made sense. Ortiz didn't make much sense. Kirkland got injured.

Just because these match-ups failed, doesn't mean that they should stop trying and go with the likes of Mayorga. Mayorga is one of the worst choices they could've gone with.

At the same time, you and I both know this is business..Spinks, Bundrage, and Trout bring absolutely NOTHING to the table..Mayorga at the end of the day will do a decent job selling as usual..it's all about $$$

Lara got ignored, WE ALL wanted that fight, but GB aint risking that...Cotto-Canelo will probably be made in Dec. so as long as Canelo brings it to NYC..I doubt he'd want to though..
