No, it's not just one fight. Evert single of his title fights was garbage and there were 5 of them if I'm not wrong.
And it's rather easy for you to say that it's all fine, because you don't care about other fighters waiting for their title shot and not getting it because Mayorga, Cintron, Hatton or Alfonso Gomez will instead just because of their name. You only know the stars and that's all you care about right?

I agree its a BS way he got his title and defending it against nobodies. Now it looks like they are finally going to start putting him up there with bigger names. They tried to get the big names, but those all fell through. Boxing is all about money now, that's why Mayorga is being considered, but its not a for sure thing yet. I agree there are other fighters that would be a better challenge, but like I said, boxing is all about money now. No matter how much you and everyone else hate that fact including me, it will continue as long as we boxing fans keep buying their PPV's.

It is so easy for people to run another fighters career behind their keyboard without ever being in the situation that kid is in at his age. This is just one freakin fight. Give it time, he is young, he will get to those other fighters soon.

He has had one acceptable fight since he won his belt..... one.
Why does he need more time.... HE HAS A BELT!
If he needs more time, why does he have a belt if he's still going to fight "developmental" fights.
I know the only reason he has a belt is because the WBC want to be part of this new PPV pot, but how anybody can condone these fights is surprising.

IMO, he's still resting, negotiations would take a while and there's not enough time between now and Sept 15th.
If Canelo wants some, he can get an ass whooping in MSG.
