Mayorga is the least deserving opponent mentioned yet, but as a fan, i have to say I don't hate this fight. Why? Because I'd love to hear Mayorga's trash talk leading up to the event. Mayorga is the ATG ****-talker in my opinion.

its fights like this that cause credibility issues with the sport of boxing. Mayorga should have retired after the oscar fight. He has no business going up against a up coming star in boxing.

You cant even label mayorga a gatekeeper fight with a straight face. Mayorga has no business fighting period let alone against Canelo. GBP is no different than top rank. This fight should not even be sanctioned.

I am ok with this fight IF it is on CBS, it would be nice to see one of boxing's stars get exposure like that, but i would be disappointed in it being a showtime fight.

It is so easy for people to run another fighters career behind their keyboard without ever being in the situation that kid is in at his age. This is just one freakin fight. Give it time, he is young, he will get to those other fighters soon.
