you guys are talking about meldrick taylor like he's a god and he wasnt
he had terrific talents and hiding under some of his flaws was a potential great and a great talent, but he was not a great professional boxer.
he was easy to hit with big shots in exchanges
he wouldn't box when it was in his best interest
he'd dispense with his jab (along with his footwork it was a serious weapon,)
and he'd stand in front of a guy
all of that being said, he still beats amir khan.Comment

He was flawed and I always say that people talking about how he was some future ATG in the making are off-base (he was too small, brawl-happy, and modest punching power for a strong WW division, and he had problems making 140).....but he was still far better than Khan.you guys are talking about meldrick taylor like he's a god and he wasnt

Declined Taylor at 147 still beats Khan.
Khan would've gotten his ass kicked too by Espana. And wouldn't have beaten Davis or Brown (the lesser of the Browns at welterweight at that time).Comment
