I thought Tua won that fight also (real close though). He looked to be landing the harder shots in those exchanges. Ike would have encountered a lot of that fighting the way he did. I can see him being a title holder, but not beating the brothers K.

What ever sucess Chisora had with Vitali was because that constant right hand he would land on the body. But it takes a brave man with a chin to go there with these two guys

I think that fight has the most punches thrown combined by two heavy weights. It might have the punch connection record to

I have a buddy locked up with Ike and he says he is from a different world and people leave him to himself.

He was eligible for parole in May, does anybody have any news on his current situation?

I don't know how far he could of gone but he had some serious tools & I have no doubts he'd of at least been competitive with most of the bigger top heavyweights of the 90s.

Its rare to see a guy of Ikes size with the ability to fight inside like he could & work the body.
I think his boxing ability is underrated to, not much to base this from apart from him outboxing 6ft6 journeyman but he had one hell of a jab & some lovely movement.

Not a big name or the greatest of journeyman but for his 13th fight that to me is damn impressive.

I think Ike would've been another Sam Peter had he not went to prison.

When I see posters like you who had Tua up against Ike, it affects my judgement of their opinion because it means that you can't score a fight.

And using what Byrd, Sanders or what anyone else did doesn't translate to what Ike would do. And Boxrec only has him fighting 2 guys above 6'2" so I think that validates my point he never fought a good, tall heavyweight. Again, Im not saying he couldn't, only that he never did. To just assume he would automatically do so is in my opinion overrating him.
After beating Byrd who beat vitali and beating Tua, of course some would say he may be champ one day. Where does the overrating come in at? Height doesn't mean a damn thing in boxing was my point. Both K brothers lost to men smaller than themselves.

Using this "Byrd beat Vitali", line is slightly more credible than, "Griffin beat Roy Jones", to make some asinine point.
