Tymoshenko was the Prime minister of Ukraine and ranked as the 3rd most powerful women in the world.

If they can do that to her, a guy like Vitali is peanuts

I don't know man. Timoshenko was not known by the general public outside of the Ukraine. At least not in the western world AFAIK. Vitali is and it would be a public relations disaster to take him out.

At least that's the Way I look at it from a scandinavian point of view.

Taking Tymoshenko out has been a horrific public relations for Ukraine. She was one of the most powerful people in europe and a key political figure.

If that happened to Vitali, it wouldnt even get 1% of the outrage that Tymoshenko's imprisonment has received. There is just a huge divide between top political figures and sports stars. Either way he has absolutely no head way in Ukrainian politics, he isnt a corrupt scumbag so theres really no worries about him

Viktor Yanukovych is NOT a dictator.

He was ********ically elected in 2010, after the voters became disillusioned with the "Orange Revolution", blaming it for creating broken promises, a ***********al economy and political chaos.

And Yanukovych being pro-Russia is the reason he receives a lot of unfair media coverage in the US and Europe:
