why risk it. Thurman is an Al Haymon fighter, which means Maidana won't get a fair decision even if he did when.

    anybody remember Williams vs Lara?

Maidana dumped this guy to get a shot at Canelo. because we all know Canelo only fights smaller guys.

why take a risk losing when a bigger pay day with the ginger is out there?

Can't be too mad. maidana is a limited fighter who we all like and he himself is probably not scared at all but his team knows he will only beat certain types of fighters so they actually are doing right as far as protecting their fighter. Devon just trashed him and back to back beat downs are bad for business, so it actually makes sense to me.

the decision wasn't upon bad judging...........it was upon thurmans weight & skill (as far as weight, maidana has been led wrong because thurman has NEVER been a super welterweight wtf)

he looks too good to them. (also stop trying to turn this around to a bad decision that doesn't even exist wtf)

maidana did the SAME EXACT THING AGAINST BRADLEY. has nothing to do with decisions. hell, he fought alexander in st louis because alexander looked venerable & like **** in his last fight. (did he care about a decision in st louis) no, because alexander looked venerable.

thurman looks scary therefore maidana runs, just like against bradley.

                (truth hurts)

let's back this up a bit. Maidana didn't fight Bradley because of management problems which he said was a back injury but granted he back out.

to the point, the fight with Thurman wasn't even mentioned until Ortiz lost and Maidana became a potential opponent for Canelo. if he can believe the rumors it looks like Maidana may face Canelo.

so why take a risky fight against an Al Haymon fighter, when a bigger Canelo payday is out there? it's a hoe move by Maidana because he should fight the guy he's supposed to fight but if you get an offer to fight GBP's cash cow, that outweighs a fight with a talented yet unknown or proven guy.

Canelo = more $$$$$ than Thurman.
