I'm pretty sure the murder rate in the UK per 100,000 people is 1. That's good, I think it has more to do with the whole carrying guns thing. In comparison, the United States murder rate per 100,000 is like 4.5 or something, one of the highest for a first rate country in the world.

... Unless you're including India under Pakistan in which case i get your point, but you have to realise boxing isn't a well-known or popular sport at all. It's all about cricket

The US's rate is almost 4 times as high.

Well that's why you have to ake into account what countries you are comapring. USA to Mexico is a crazy comparison, as the USA is a far more first rate country than Mexico. I'm pretty sure the country with the highest murder rate is like Venezuela or something. But there's so many countries in Africa that are f**ked up beyond all recognition and probably don't keep stats correctly.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere, of course I don't have a link so take it for what it is, that the worst crime countries for more "civilized" countries are like Russia, Brazil, Australia, and the United States. Could be wrong though, as I don't know if Brazil is considered a first or second rate country. I'm pretty sure Russia is a 2nd rate country though.

This is a good example. The United States murder and crime is very high for being a first rate country, one of the highest. But you can't compare it to other countries like Pakistan, India, Mexico, Irag, or any other countries that aren't considered first rate countries. There's no doubt the USA has a problem with crime, but it's decreased a lot since the 80's peak and the 90's.
