Growth is around 3% for this year, which is good.

How many of the 192 countries have a GDP over $200 billion?

Still think they are one of the poorest?

Per a capita the would not even make the top 50.
You are simply not getting it you obviously lack understanding of what’s going on in Pakistan which makes me question why you are actually debating something you clearly know very little about.

You need to understand while Pakistan has the potential to become a stable wealthy country it is riddled with corruption as we have already established 60% + of the population are living in poverty.

GDP is irrelevant because the people are poor the people are living in poverty that makes Pakistan a poor country the corrupt politicians and business men that make up a tiny per cent of the population do not stop it from being a poor country.

Just look at India. Isn't India one of the better overall economic countries right now, but look at how their poor people live, it's terrible.

              • Regardless of how rough of an area Pakistan is, which I'm sure it is. Don't downplay North Philly it really is a dangerous place to live. I lived in West Philly for a good part of my life and that wasn't a whole lot better but North Philly really has its problems.

Most countries have problems, but stuff in countries like that is just beyond problems that countries like the United States have, interms of how their poor live. I grew up in a poor neighborhood, Northeast Park Hill in Northeast Denver, and there was a ton of crime. The poverty rate I believe currently is like over 30%, which is very high for a first rate country. And there are gangs, lots of violent crimes, etc. But when you compare things in countries like this to countries in the Middle East, Africa, or countries like India and what not, it just doesn't translate. You can't compare the two.

A better comparison to me, would be like comparing the United States to Canada, England, and countries like that. If that's the case, I have no doubt the USA has more crime and corruption, and it's sad.
