i think it has more to do with the fact that it seems like donaire doesn't want to fight rigondeaux.most cuban boxers arent that proven as pros yet most people would rather fight other fghters than these 18-0 cubans

Really I say Donaire should go for all the money fights he can. He is almost 30 and fights in divisions that are pretty much irrelevant. If people are counting on Donaire to be a PPV star or even a #1 P4P guy, he needed to move to 130 yesterday already. I like Donaire, but he is vastly overrated and will likely never fight in a lucrative or popular division. As it stands right now Donaire has 0% chance of being an ATG and doesn't even deserve to be in the parking lot of the HoF. He needs to start moving up. Quickly.

Funny that the guy who wasn't even good enough to make the US Olympic team is telling the guy with 2 gold medals that he isn't experienced enough .

yea who knows maybe it is arum but i remember doniare saying he didn't want to fight rigondeaux because he was boring but that was a couple months ago so maybe things changed

I don't think Darchi was in the top 10 but wouldn't surprise me if he was.

And yeah if you look closely at Donaire's resume it's a lot deeper than people think.


And this fight has a good chance of happening because Arum has a good relationship with Nishioka's promoter. They co-promoted the Nishioka vs Marquez event and Arum said he would love to have Nishioka come back in the US to fight one of his guys.


When Floyd uttered those words his best wins were : Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo and Judah. I don't think either of these guys was in the top 10 P4P when he fought them but correct me if I'm wrong.

when floyd utterd those words he was still 2x the fighter donaire was in every way. hernandez, corralles, castillo, judah and a bunch other names that can be added to that list are still better than darchinyan + montiel. and its not really close.
