You should know this by now : boxing is a business first, sport second. You're a Floyd fan right? I don't blame Floyd for not always fighting the best so I sure as hell ain't gonna blame Donaire. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

The Arce fight is a cash grab. You know like Mares/Morel was. Donaire already earned his P4P spot. Detroyed the #1 guy at 112, Detroyed the #1 guy at 118, 3 division world champ, undefeated in title fights.

donaire mentioned wanting to fight nishioka before all this rigo talk, but nishioka declined because he wanted to wait until late 2012 before he would be willing to fight anyone...so you can't blame donaire too much for that fight not happening. i'd definitely would like to see donaire vs nishioka more than a rigo fight tbh..

That's irrelevant. The fight can still happen in the fall but it seems like Donaire would rather face Arce instead, which I think would be a very easy fight that wouldn't do much for his legacy at all. Arce has had a great career but he is one dimensional. I want to see Nonito against a slick boxer with power and versatility. Given how he's looked against his last two opponents who tried to box, I think Nishioka would have a great chance to beat him if they fought, and I think Donaire and Bob "I Have No Soul" Arum are well aware of this too.

weren't they both top p4p fighters at the time that donaire stopped them? other than darchinyan and montiel donaire still has some nice wins on his resume..like hernan marquez (currently a highly ranked flyweight world champion), mthalane (another currently high ranked flyweight world champion), omar narvaez (was undefeated and a two weight world champion), sydorenko (good former amateur fighter who had only lost to one guy - moreno as a pro), and vazquez jr who is a former champion with only one loss and still in his prime and was ranked in the top ten best sbw at the time...mathebula isn't known too well but he is the IBF world champion and the #6 best sbw...and apparently lost a controversial decision to caballero.

I don't think Darchi was in the top 10 but wouldn't surprise me if he was.

And yeah if you look closely at Donaire's resume it's a lot deeper than people think.

And this fight has a good chance of happening because Arum has a good relationship with Nishioka's promoter. They co-promoted the Nishioka vs Marquez event and Arum said he would love to have Nishioka come back in the US to fight one of his guys.

When Floyd uttered those words his best wins were : Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo and Judah. I don't think either of these guys was in the top 10 P4P when he fought them but correct me if I'm wrong.

It IS all about the money. Do I like it? No but I'm mature enough to understand and accept the reality, you're not.

LOL that's because Mathebula ain't worth much. It's not about how much money you make for one fight, it's about how much money you think you deserve for fighting a certain opponent AKA risk/reward ratio. Come on man, how long have you been following this sport? You should know that shit.
