Me and you don't agree on a lot but gotta agree here. And somehow the guy is ranked #4 on The Ring P4P list. Number fkin 4 over the Klitschkos and Marquez and Ward, who pretty much faced almost all of the top 10 in his division during the Super Six.

        Didn't dominate Cordoba.

These two fighters were the kings of their division and Donaire knocked them off the throne in devastating fashion, one of them was a top 10 P4P fighter. I hate revisionists like you who try to diminish great wins long after the facts. Wouldn't be surprised if you picked Montiel to beat Donaire too.

Rigo is 31 and his best win is Rico fucking Ramos.

ur talking about rigo, imo not. im focusing squarely on donaire. if he doesnt wanna fight rigo, then cool. thats ok. there are plenty of other fighters around his weight better than mathebula or arce. but nah, he'll continue to feast on these weak fighters while ppl once again wait for him to step it up. its been over a year since montiel and what has donaire done since then? smh.

and montiel wasnt really a king of any division. he was one of the best sure, but there were 3 or 4 fighters equally situated, and of course donaire took the easy route. fight one and then exit the division. now some of those same fighters have followed him to 122, and hes talking about arce?? lmao. he says the wrong things, does the wrong things and ppl still defend him. tell me when hes gonna earn his p4p spot? when is he gonna become the great fighter ppl thought he was?

Let's not get ignorant here. You know very well Rigo started his career SUPER late. Then between Willie Casey and Rico Ramos he almost went a year out of the ring.

It's a shame that he doesn't seem to have any interest in facing Toshiaki Nishioka. Who I view as being the #1 guy in the division. Instead he's facing a guy that most people have never heard of and is looking to face a guy that would be tailor made and easy work for him in Arce. Why doesn't he want to face the #1 guy? It seems like today none of these so called top fighters are giving the fans what they want to see. Everyone is trying to copy the Manny "I let other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao model of fighting easy tailor-made opponents so that they can look spectacular against them rather than getting in there with the best fighters out there and proving that your the best. I'm not going to single out Pacquiao and Donaire for this, because pretty much everyone is doing it and it's killing the sport. I don't know what the answer is. I think the sanctioning bodies and networks need to be more strict and not let fighters get to the top so easily, they should have to earn it. Whatever you think of him outside of the ring, Floyd Mayweather deserves a lot of credit for consistently taking on the best opponents possible and setting the standard, showing these young up and coming guys how a true champion operates.

It's a business now more than a sport. And money talks so if the sanctioning bodies or the networks get paid enough they WILL let the fight go thru.

You should know this by now : boxing is a business first, sport second. You're a Floyd fan right? "We're not fighting to prove to the fans who the best is, we try to make good business decisions" -Floyd Mayweather. I don't blame Floyd for not always fighting the best so I sure as hell ain't gonna blame Donaire. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

And Donaire's weak fighters are still better than Rigo's best wins.

LOL what are you talking about? He went to Japan and destroyed Hasegawa to establish himself as the bantamweight king. Fighting the number one guy and moving up is the easy route? It's funny because that's what Floyd did most of his career but you're not gonna blame him for that.

The Arce fight is a cash grab. You know like Mares/Morel was. Donaire already earned his P4P spot. Detroyed the #1 guy at 112, Detroyed the #1 guy at 118, 3 division world champ, undefeated in title fights.

the funny thing is the KD was more of rigo tripping over his feet HAHA but since a very soft pat jab landed at the end of it, it was counted as a KD..........this is used by morons as a tool of why donaire shouldn't fight rigo.

rigo is twice as good as when he fought cordoba...........he has better balance, crisper punches, & he's MUCH more aggressive.

(he's also turned his style into a complete solid package since then)

i think he'll beat donaire with no problems (donaire would look wild & out of place against rigo & he'll LOSE) thats why this fight will never happen & trolls will continue to take up for donaires ducking.
