Comments Thread For: Donaire Eyes Arce, Calls Bull**** on Rigondeaux's Claim

WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire is less than two weeks ago from his unification bout against IBF champion Jeffrey Mathebula.

While Donaire insists that he is 100% focused on Mathebula, he knows that bigger fights lie ahead. On a recent edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show, I asked Donaire if he was interested in facing the like of Jorge Arce and Guillermo Rigondeaux. [Click Here To Read More]

Be careful what you wish for Donaire. You might not want to end your hiatus right now. Rigo is just a beast.

He'll never fight Rigo, just keep fighting no names or other guys moving up in weight. I wish Donaire had be able to leave Top Rank, I think that's the main reason he's in fights no one wants to see.

Finally, now let's see if Arun allow that fight to happen. Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Nonito Donaire that's the fight that I want to see.

He'll get Arce, but I doubt we see Donaire vs. Rigo. Too much risk for a guy that is banking Arum way too much money right now.

Instead, we'll keep getting Donaire vs. Mathebula or Omar Narvaez type of fights so Arum can keep getting more and more money with very little risk involved.

Would be a good fight, as much as Rigondeaux looks like a beast were all guessing about his chin at the top level but from what iv seen and just the overall vibe i get from Rigo his chin looks solid, but a thing that Donaire may expose.

Also Rigo wants to throw the left hand at every oppurtunity, the right is merely a punch that sets up his left, Does no one think Donaire has the skills to deal with a punch he knows is gunna be thrown almost at will.

why are the best always ducking the best? If Donaire doesn't fight Rigo in the next year he will go down in my estimation.

I agree but as long as dirty Bob's involved i wouldn't be suprised if Donaire doesn't fight Rigo, ever.

I don't want to see Rigo vs Donaire. I believed Rigo will run around just like he did against Cordoba when he will taste Donaire power. And I believe Donaire will be a little meticulous in letting it go because Rigo has enough pop to discourage him. So it will be a boring fight.
