      People seem toforget that boxing is a buisness...the onlyreason alvarez isnt being put up against matirosyan and lara is because they dont have huge fan bases..for tem it doesnt matter if they lose. Ut canelo has everything to lose..the guy pulls in a 29 point rating in mexico..over 25 million people watch his fights when they happen..that is ridiculous for someone so young..PR pop=under 10 millin
      Cuba= pop under 15 million
      So when its all said and done its not alvarez dodgin opponents..its golden boy looking out for their and canelos best interest..which is what happens with high profile top rank and golden boy fighters

          If Canelo wants any sort of legacy he has to start taking tough fights.

              finally someone calls him out that actually deserves the fight.
              lara is a serious threat, i honestly would not blame canelo for turning this one down, i mean i want them to fight, but the risk/reward is not good enough for canelo at this point in his career,, i think he should fight kirkland or molina, would be exciting, and i think cotto and lara should fight in october/november and the winners face each other. cuz lara/canelo should be a mega fight and if it happens in the fall, it wont be. and lara needs to fight a big name so he has some marketability.

                Molina fought Lara to a draw and was beating Kirkland, so he is no walk over. He's been competitive in every fight during his career.

                  Noway Goldenboy would risk their cashcow for a risky well schooled lara. I don't see this happening unless lara becomes popular with some good wins, hopefully goldenboy prove me wrong because its a great fight

                    Would be a great fight! Lara deserves a title shot, though I do believe Canelo would win. Not because of size but composure and punching that is not just powerful but accurate. Lara I believe would have a slight advantage in speed but I really don't think he can handle a constant head beating!

                    Was hoping for this fight with Lara or Kirkland. Is it wrong I'm happy Ortiz got his jaw broke. Haha

                      never gonna happen. GBP has played it safe with Canelo and NO WAY they risk that ginger golden machine against Lara, Molina, or even Trout.

                      Canelo will fight Mayorga in the end IMO. Cotto is too smart to have a PPV on the same night as another PPV, when he knows he can make millions more if he waits until May 5th next year.

                      Canelo has almost ran out of bums to fight at 154. he won't go up to 160 because the water is deep up there too. GBP is in a fix IMO.

                      eventually Canelo will have to face a real opponent.
