either mitchell or jennings...jennings has a win over liahkovich & has now been thrust into the spotlight after 11 fights. talk about making the most of an opportunity. 3 fights on NBC in 6 months...mitchell looks stronger but jennings has that huge 84" reach at 6'2 which makes it very hard to avoid his punches. mitchell has wins over witherspoon & ibragimov but i think liahkovich beats both those guys so at this stage i think jennings has moved ahead of mitchell. that fight with liahkovich was pretty good. jennings is 14-0, the USBA champion(top 15 in IBF) & has a win over a former world champion. that's better then mitchell or wilder.

Young American heavyweight is a difficult question actually considering most American heavyweights are well in their thirties.

I'll probably have to go with Tor Hamer, I think hes got better potential than Wilder, Mitchell though he really has his hands full with the next Prizefighter.

Yeah I don't see much from him tbh, only thing he has showed me is just how much the wars Liakovich has been in have taken out of him.
I don't expect Jennings to go much further.

                I agree.

But I chose Jennings because he moves faster and more fluidly in the ring, has a better defense, and at age 27 is three years younger.

Mitchell however has more power and is better able to "turn it up" to stop his opponents.

no doubt mitchell is a finisher & jennings has not proven that yet but jennings also was a nobody until chambers got hurt. he has come a long way in 6 months. jennings showed he has balls by accepting to fight liahkovich on national tv this early i his career. his reach is a huge advantage because guys with 84" reach are usually 6'6 & not 6'2. mitchell has shown good ring smarts(clinching when hurt) with his ability to make adjustments quickly. he throws power combinations & as we said before is a finisher.

I haven't seen the last two on the poll, so out of Jennings, Mitchell and Wilder I'm going with Mitchell.

Jennings is alright, but I'm not bowled over by him by any means. His long arms are an asset if he can use them to pick fighters off from the outside, but he seems too willing to get in the pocket, and ends up either wildly swinging with big loopy hooks, or just smothering his own work. Decent handspeed though, good power and combination punching, and quite a professional mindset, so I think he'll do alright provided he doesn't rest on his laurels.

Deontay Wilder is simply a big question mark.

Mitchell is the oldest of the three, but he's also the most polished, and has thus far shown the most potential to succeed in the heavyweight division. He might turn out to be nothing more than a heavyweight Jeff Lacy, but I reckon he's got a few big wins ahead of him yet.
