Yes but the problem is, as cliff pointed out, he may struggle to find opponents at 118. I don't know what would happen to his career if he moves up to 122 but it would be great if he fights the likes of abner or nonito in the near future and I hope these top caliber fighters won't duck him or there won't be any side issues like opposing promoters and the like.Comment

I don't think Moreno's going to stay at 118 too much longer.Yes but the problem is, as cliff pointed out, he may struggle to find opponents at 118. I'm hoping he fights Agbeko then moves up to 122.
I just wish that GBP would just man up and make the Mares-Moreno fight. There's just simply no excuse for that fight not to happen.Comment

Didn't Pac made Marquez move up 2 weight classes to fight him?Comment

Yeah, agbeko would be a good test for him or maybe that japanese champion, I forgot his name but that latest boxing sensation leo santa cruz would be too green for him.
I don't know if GBP would duck that fight with mares once moreno moves up to 122. A very interesting fight, I must say.
Another thing I notice about the list of cliff is that of floyd's record at title fights: 21-0, 10 KO (Overall); 18-0, 9 KO (Lineal Only) . Damn, that's almost insane.Comment

Yamanaka. Yeah, that would be awesome.Yeah, agbeko would be a good test for him or maybe that japanese champion, I forgot his name but that latest boxing sensation leo santa cruz would be too green for him.

If he stays at 118 he may aswell clean it out.
I'd like to see him fight Agbeko, Yamankam Kameda, Morel then move up to 122. But I don't think he will. I think he'll move up relatively soon.
Well, Oscar's already said he's not interested in it, "yet". I think he has more faith on Mares and would prefer Mares to win that fight.Comment

I'm dissapointed that manny wasn't moved from the top spot. Everyone will say its because I am a huge floyd fan. Its not. Whether we agree or disagree, manny did lose the fight on 2 of the judges scorecards. I blame bob as do most, for fixing the fight. But we coukd be wrong.
The list is myrhical and a personal opinion so it isn't such a big deal. But it should still be based on official results and not personal disagreements with judges scoring.Comment

And, you're right that is a very impressive record from Mayweather.Yeah, agbeko would be a good test for him or maybe that japanese champion, I forgot his name but that latest boxing sensation leo santa cruz would be too green for him.

I wasn't even aware it was that impressive.Comment

I don't care if Boxingscene demotes Pacquiao over the Bradley match. The reviews are in and judges Duane Ford and CJ Ross get two thumbs down from most of the boxing community. Given consideration of the quality of opponent he had in front of him, Manny Pacquiao gave arguably his best showing since the Miguel Cotto fight in 2009. Faced with a Timothy Bradley determined not to fall, Pacquiao boxed more than he has in any fight since the Marco Antonio Barrera rematch.

But the fact that Mayweather is #1 at WW and jrMW should easily put him at #1.
Hahahaha@ Pacquiao being #1 for beating who? JMM? That was just as controversial. Pacquiao hasn't decisively beaten a top 3 fighter in YEARS. Yet he's #1? Who has Pacquiao decisively beaten that was ranked in the top 3 since 2008?
This is pactard logic at its finest .. and its no surprise that it comes from the peasant brains at Boxingscene.
Some people are so desperate to keep a dream alive that will even lie to themselves.
Good luck with that. Your views and Pacquiao's legacy are very, very different animals.Comment

this list is laughable and biased.Originally posted by Iron BoatIts because of articles like this why it's hard to feel any sympathy for Pacman, his last 3 fights he has looked like garbage yet these writers still placing him at #1 P4P. Manny Pacquiao fights sloppy, wild, very amateurish and he clearly loss to JMM yet he's still rated the best P4P?? I don't remember Pacquiao beating Floyd cause in the world I live in thats the only way he can be at the top of this list. Cliff Rold your P4P list is nonsense!
regardless of who this writer thinks won the horrible fight.
As a writer you should practice fairness and consistency.
How anyone can have Pacquiao at #1 after his last performances, boggles me. I would love to see his rankings based off of performances..this was certainly based on something else.(when it comes to a certain fighter!)
You dont get rewarded to reamin at the #1 spot because you look like sh!t against a sh!ttier opponent and got robbed..You remain at that spot because you stay dominating viable opponents..something Pac hasnt done in forever!..ehh!!!Comment
