The list is myrhical and a personal opinion so it isn't such a big deal. But it should still be based on official results and not personal disagreements with judges scoring.
If a fight is close enough where I think the loser was fair, even if I scored the other way, I'm happy to roll with official verdict. Mayweather-Castillo I (which I scored for Castillo by a single point) is an example of that. If Marquez had won last year, even with me narrowly thinking Pac squeezed it out, I'd have gone with official verdict (just like I did when I narrowly scored the first two for JMM). In this case, I didn't see it that close and went with the way I saw it as I have in fights like Cloud-Campillo.

Feel free to disagree. It's not an exact science. I thought it was a really good performance for Pac. Some others disagree (their numbers growing seemingly daily since fight night reaction, a trend the internet makes regular).

If Andre Ward goes over Dawson strong, I might move him past all in front of him. It changes from result to result. In this case, I thought Pac and May were both impressive against strong opp last time out for different reasons and scored both fights the same (8-4 live; I could see 9-3 rewatch for both). If I didn't move Pac down after JMM III (and I explained why at the time), I surely wasn't going to after what I thought, given quality of foe (and Bradley is a solid), was his best showing since Cotto.

This is where opinions come in. The PAC haters have Bradley winning or a close fight the rest of the world including a majority of the boxing community says PAC dominated. Actually it's the regular haters here who say that they have seen the fight better than others and that are wrong lol.

That what you all make it seems. Double standards? If there isn't anything good about Floyd the *****s cry biased. Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house.

Any boxing list not predicated on concrete data pertaining to quality of performance against quality opponents is subject to abuse.

Asking the idiots on this site to create an unbiased list when they refuse to weigh fights by rank and quality of opponent is pointless.

90% of this site would rank Pacquiao #1 for just being Filipino .. let alone winning. After all, people are making such a stink about the Bradley fight when personally I thought Marquez beat Manny more decisively than Manny may have beaten Bradley the last time they met.

I'm satisfied with Boxingscene rating Manny at #1 .. because the rest of the world doesn't.

Let the peasants have their lists in their little microcosm.

                  • I love it.

not for the fact that Manny is #1, but the fact that it has ruffled the feathers of all of his haters.

                    • Mayweather, Bradley, the Klitchko, Ward, Martínez, Rigondeaux, Guzmán, Gamboa, Chemito Moreno... they are the forces to be beaten. Pac without the tricky matches and catchweights is just hot air.
