Depends what you consider an ATG per weight class. If you consider the Top 15-16 HW's to be ATG HW's then yeah he's already an ATG HW.

    I doubt that.

He can only fight what's available and if he were to fight all the best fighters in his division all the way to 50 I imagine most would give him great credit.

It's just as his stands his resume is quite weak. He hasn't beaten too many of the highly ranked fighter in his division.

Floyd Patterson was a good fighter. Very good.

And Sonny Liston pretty much cleaned out his division and beat every good fighter that was available to him.

And as for the phantom punch, me personally, I doubt that punch that Ali landed on Liston would have knocked out Vitali. Even today's Vitali.

But that's just my opinion. Doesn't really mean much.

Having Charr as opponent is really not signing off "in style". Still, if he at least knocks the guy out in good fashion, his legacy won't be damaged with this fight. It still would've loved to see a better opponent though.

I agree. His legacy won't be damaged at all.

I actually think Vitali has a few good years left. I'd still pick him to destroy Haye.

But I guess no one knows themself better than them.

Wish I could go to see his farewell fight. 70k ain't no joke, both bros pack a lot of people.

            You will be missed Vitali.

He chin wasn't great, but so what? He was still a good fighter, HOF calibur.

Wlad doesn't have a great chin either but he's still a very good fighter and the best of his Era.

              I don't understand your point.

He lost more than a step and his speed is way down. Chisora kind of exposed him in a way for that, and I believe that Haye actually has a chance to catch Vitali a lot more than Chisora. Whther he would win or not, I would not say but certainly Vitali is not dominant as he once was. I actually like Vitali a lot, he is a guy who has power, is open to get hit even if hard to, and usually comes forward. He wasn't the same in his return, but still it helped give him a better legacy.

Ducking Haye and running into retirement. What a coward.

Chisora has the chin and guts to take it to Vitali though.

Once Haye were to feel Vitali's power he'd be on his bike from then on. Which would be the first round.

True but I feel with Haye's advantage in speed now, and power, it would make it difficult for Vitali to throw those lazy pawing jabs.

I always said, Haye does better VS Vitali than Wlad simply on the fact that Wlad has a style that is hard to hit, while Vitali is easier to hit, but you risk getting KTFO.
