Ideally, I'd prefer Mitchell, Stiverne or Wach, but I'm not disappointed in Vitali fighting Charr.

He's young (27), undefeated (21-0), and has never been knocked down or even wobbled in a fight.

My only concern is because Charr is strong and durable, it will go the distance and adversely affect Vitali's KO ratio (although Charr will take a severe beating in every round).

So is this going to be the fight that pushes Vitali into the ATG status?

I think Vitali could've TKO'd Chisora if it wasn't for his injury. I sincerely hope a healthy Vitali will take down Charr, who hasn't faced anyone good.

And I also would've preferred for Vitali to take on Boytsov, Wach or Stiverne. Not Mitchell though, he needs more experience.

Starting with Sosnowski, Vitali has really closed out his career with lackluster competition. I really hate what happened to Solis in their fight, because I think that would've been his toughest night. There is Huck, Haye, Mitchell, Boystov, Povetkin, even Fury or Price out there. Why is he having a farewell fight with Charr again? Guys like Charr, Stiverne, and Wach can vie for the vacant title later, or get beat on by Wlad in due time. Vitali's final opponent (if this turns out to be true) should've been against someone semi-interesting at least.

His farewell fight? Damn really will be the end of an era.

70K fans is no joke that's an amazing number I can't wait for the fight!

            Vitali will be missed.

This sucks for many different reasons.

              1) I hate to see Vitali retire without fighting Haye. I know he wanted that fight, but politics prevent him from defending his title against him any time soon.

              2) Wlad-Arreola becomes very unlikely if Vitali retires, because I imagine the WBC will then order Arreola-Stiverne. Whoever gets the title will do everything possible to prevent it from ending up in the hands of Wladimir.

              3) It just sucks to see a man of such elite skills retire with so few people really putting him to the test since his comeback. That's not his fault, but there are a lot of guys making noise (Mitchell, Fury, Wach, Pulev, Wilder, Helenius) about becoming champ and I'd like to see Vitali set some of them strait.

This sucks! I know a lot of people are hungry for a new heavyweight champion, but do you really want the new champ to arrive only by way of Vitali's retirement? **** that.

Is this going to be televised in America? Damn 70k Klitschkos are a serious draw man. There bank accounts must be looking pretty good.

Well, Manuel Charr's a legacy building fight and no mistake.

Can't have your cake and eat it. This is an easy money grab, not an emphatic statement to the end of a career. Vit could have picked a tough, semi-risky opponent, but chose the soft touch instead. Won't blame him for that, but not gonna praise him either.

Sosnowski, Briggs and now Charr. Rather an anticlimactic petering out of what looked like an awesome comeback tour.

Sad to see the big man go, he's been an absolute stud of a fighter and an ATG without doubt. I hope this will not be his last outing and he does entertain Haye, but if not thanks for many great fights!

I imagine it will be on EPIX in the USA.
