[QUOTE=edgarg;12211884]You are an astonishing hypocrite. You complain about not having a completely legal way to see the fight for $15 and yet you say you can see it legally for $4. And, you know all about free, illegal streaming. To insist on paying $15 downtown with extra for parking, drinks, eats etc when you can sit comfortably at home and watch it for $4 sounds a bit...off.QUOTE]You're not getting the point. The 4 dollar sites are not illegal only because they are overseas. That means you can see a Mayweather fight legally for 15 bucks (theater) but cannot see a Pac fight unless you pay almost 5 times that that for 53 bucks because there are no theater outlets. Forget the dining and parking options, I live in the suburb where I can get to a theater like many, park there and watch a mayweather fight but NOT a Pac fight.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out who is offering the better deal. Thats about 1/4 the price for Mayweather fight cards compared to Pac fight cards. Checkmate Mayweather.
How about being truthful for a change??

Todd deboeff and Bob are doing a lot to expand the viewership. Online viewing with the different angles is a good look.

If you have any friends (??) and you split the costs, it can be a lot less than $55 and still be legal. If you insist on paying $15, I'm sure your friends(??) will be happy to allow you to.

Past figures released have always shown that the vast majority of paying viewers prefer to watch the fights in the comforts of their homes, surrounded by friends. I'm talking about millions against perhaps a score or two thousands in the theatres. Just because you prefer to go to a theatre doesn't mean that they have to have a theatre available for you. It's a matter of economics and amount of work against potential profits.
Golden Balls showed in theatres to try to get extra income because their PPVs were not doing too well. I remember well the reports about it. I suppose that because they persevered, it's paying a bit better now.
But if there's any real money in it worth taking the trouble over, you can be sure that Top Rank and even other promoters would also be doing the same thing.Last edited by edgarg; 06-06-2012, 05:07 PM.
