wins over Baldomir and Judah> Margarito and Williams:why fight contenders when you can fight for the title and make more money

you talk about percieved ability, but forget to acknowledge both were the so called most avoided fighters for a long time because they hadnt had any big fights for a long time and hadnt beat anyone of note. Thats percieved ability, people thought they were great but they were just good.

beating those guys the time people called for those fights would have done nothing for his resume. Around the time the fights were possible they both were losing fights.

It doesn't matter, he never fought the fights that could have prove his ability beyond it's current level.

As with Bute, he was used to fighting lesser opposition, looking very good against them, but it a complete different story when you fight a guy who has prove ability on a higher level.

I dont know what you are trying to attempt but its not succeeding

It doesnt matter because you cant think of anyone who he hasnt already beat would prove what he already has

A win over Manny Pacquiao would be great. Beating Martinez for the middleweight title would be huge other than that beating anyone else doesnt do anything for his resume

No prime HOF'er rfused to fight Bute so your point is moot. SHane , ODH, Cotto, and Manny all had a chance to fight floyd when they were prime. The only remaining question is when they fight, will manny regret waiting like the other 3.

                    Unproven at the highest level.

And just as Bute people put too much stock in the 0.

Remember this, too intelligent, smart too good technically, things said about Bute, also said about Mayweather in his fantasy fights match ups.

Your argument is like someone saying Lennox Lewis isn't great because he didn't fight Rid**** Bowe.
