Floyd missed too many guys and it's a shame his fans give him a pass by just saying he would have won anyway. If that's the case, why fight the fights? He should just retire since he's so good that he doesn't have to fight to prove he could actually beat some of these guys.

Yes they were a lot of big fights that Floyd could have taken that would have proven his ability but for whatever reason they never happened.

Floyd's best win is what? Beating Cotto 8 round to 4, a fighter that had suffer two heavy defeats before.

That is Floyd's prove level, but I've seen fantasy fights where people pick Floyd to beat guys like Duran, SRL, Benitez.

counter-punching is attractive, most people just dont realise it is fairly easy with a speed edge

mayweathers real skill lies in his defence, which he is very good at, his offense isn't that special, and his counter-punching is fairly straight foward too if you look past the flashy speed

he's obviously a smart fighter too and smart fighters are always hard to bet against, although to what degree is another story i dont feel like getting into right now

Prime paul williams/magarito/kostya are also fighters he diddent fight that would have given us something.

People overlook great fighters of the past? The last time I checked, the general consensus was that the past fighters were the greatest of all time and the modern generation would not have been able to succeed in their generation.

One fantasy fight Mayweather definitely loses is against Pacquiao. Pacquiao destroys Mayweather. Floyd would have no answer for Pacquiao's jab, jab, straight left. And Floyd would meet the same fate as Ricky Hatton, with the right hook, roll under.
