if he really is still injured than he shouldn't have taken the fight. then again, the fight isn't until september so he maybe he has enough time to be ready? who knows. that said, he really is pricing himself out. what has been kirkland's biggest paycheck yet? i say james forgets the alvarez 9/15 fight for now and tries to get a fight with k9 signed for november, if he plans to take a tune up before it or something. snatching a title would catch alvarez' attention after september. all i know is, no one is trying to fight lara, haha.

kirkland is saying he's not 100% and for that he's not willing to fight. he said however everyone has their price and he'd fight canelo for like $2+ million dollars, he said he'd risk losing because of an injury for that kind of money, otherwise hell take his time and hopefully fight Canelo next year.
to suggest kirkland is scared of Canelo is silly since he willingly took two title eliminator fights to get canelo. Canelo is who he's been chasing this whole time.
bottom line is he's not 100% and that's that. Canelo will probably fight Trout and kirkland will take a tune up later in the year.
imo he's smart. he shouldn't go into the biggest and most challenging fight of his career coming off shoulder surgery.
@ the THOUGHT of Kirk being scared of the Cinnamon kid...c'mon man, get REALLY REAL!!!

sorry...NOT BUYING THE CANELO HYPE!
and by the way that is not to defend Kirkland either, he is not that good himself, he is just another Brawler with NO BOXING SKILLS, both would lose to any of the other top fighters at 154

anything 1 reads of Trout states he beat Canelos brother, true, but the guy is pathetic & IMO can't believe Trout can headline, w/Alvarez a ppv...he's not a draw, has no ring charisma & Alvarez will tear him up...Trout's competition has been only average vs average guys...

kirkland it is saying that he is not ready but would accept the fight and risk his health for 2.5M. that's anything but fraud. who would want to buy that PPV?

It's one thing if Kirkland hasn't been saying he's been injured for the last few months, but he has. The man has said he's been injured since the Molina fight; that's why Canelo was going to fight Williams instead.

Golden Fishnets Gets a Dose of KARMA
I'm so glad Kirkland pulled the rug out from under these pricks. This is KARMA in play for how Schaefer and boys have screwed Erislandy Lara. Now watch them plug someone like Carlos Quintana in for Sept. 15th, but the problem with that is the fact they won't be able to sell him as an opponent worth of PPV.
