Health first, without it no more fighting and a day job.

he has a huge following who will pay for his ppvs and pay to see him fight...his value is worth that multi-million dollars IMO.

Its not about what he'll make with another opponent. Pac refused 40million from Floyd and he's not gonna make that with anyone else. Pac wants to maximize the wealth and take full advantage of the opportunity in front of him, one that might not present itself again. Same thing Kirklands doing, its about trying to maximize the opportunity in front of him. They might end up negotiating down to 1.5-2 million with a bit more percentage of the PPV. He'd end up making more money than if he would of just taken what they offered him in the first place.

            2. Too risky. Obviously if they are going to pick Trout over Lara show's they want nothing to do with Lara, as Lara has been on HBO/Showtime before and more people know Lara than they do Trout.
So do you agree that the only reason they're pushing for the Kirk fight is because he showed weakness against Molina and he's injured? Or are they in pursuit of facing the best?

If I remember correctly, Team Canelo wanted no part of James after the Angulo fight. Why so much enthusiasm to fight a hurt fighter, but no enthusiasm after the Angulo sch-lacking.

At the end of the day, it's Kirkland's fault. I dunno what Schaefer is talking about. James makes the final decision. Am I wrong? It doesn't matter who is whispering in his ear.

I don't know about that. I thought Kirkland was the best available substitute for Paul Williams, only Cotto would have been a better fight but he's not available.

I would like to think Canelo is just stepping up more and more. I think he's a very fine fighter and you know, it's time to sink or swim.

maybe they felt they weren't quite ready or maybe they didn't want to take the risk at that point or both.

I like Canelo and I think choosing Williams was a big step up, a big test for him, as was Kirkland, so I think he's moving in the right direction.

Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture and if Kirkland is thinking about his long term career rather than the short term, imo that's being smart. Don't fight a fight unless you're 100%.
Unlike Bradley, Kirkland isnt a top fighter and I think less people know about Kirkland than Bradley....

I get what he is doing but trying to hold GB hostage isnt a good idea....

do you think if he waits he can get more?.. this guys hasnt looked impressive in his last 3 fights....

                    hahaha YEAH...OK
