I wasn't talking about the public so much as just accounting for the money in general, so I'm not really sure what you're getting at. All the parties involved in these megafights are going to have to report their earnings to the IRS and be accountable for it in one way or another. Concealing tens of millions of dollars from one of these fights to partially avoid taxes would require far too much coordination between competing parties to be pulled of successfully. Also it isn't like Floyd or Manny went to a microphone and said, "I declare I made 80 million in this fiscal year" and people are taking a number and running with it. These are calculations based of gates and PPV sales.

My point is that anyone with knowledge of accounting or finance sees Floyd's guarantees to himself knows that it doesn't have much meaning. It's no different than an owner of a huge corporation paying himself 50 cents as his annual salary, which some do.
