I like Donaire. He's technically the best active Filipino boxer today. His win over Darchinyan is what made me a believer. I don't know how well he'll do as he moves up in weight but the same can be said about every boxer.

ANY HYPE IS TOO MUCH HYPE!
Isn't hype just people attaching their hopes and their reputations to the acheivements of others?

I like Nonito, as SILENCERS said: Every fighter gets hyped after a good win.

We'll see. I like him, it doesn't mean I think he's better than Rigo/Mares/Gamboa. Just means I enjoy watching his fights.

I'd be lying if I said I'd seen Mathebula fight, but it'll be interesting to see Nonito face a taller guy. Many people on here seem to be saying the guy aint too bad and has had some tough decision losses so we'll see.

More than anything I wanna see Nonito fight a top guy again but with TopRank... you just never know...
I was explaining to my g/f yday about TopRank and the JCCjr debacle etc... and deadly serious, she said "And you still watch this stuff?! It sounds like Wrestling!" Caught me off guard a little bit... From a non-fan's point of view, this **** looks even more ridiculous than it does to us.

Montiel whilst again tiny I give him some respect for that win.
What do you mean Darchinyan was tiny? They were in the same weightclass, Darchinyan was a reigning champ and got starched. Then Darchinyan moved up BEFORE Donaire and became world champ at 115 and 118. Donaire moved up and fought Montiel in only his 2nd fight at 118 and iced him. LOL "tiny"

Yeah Darchinyan consistently fell through in big fights, that's why he upset Mijares.

You don't seem to follow boxing closely, you need to do your homework son.

Till he fights Rigo, he is over hyped. If you truely believe a 2-time gold medalist does not deserve a shot a donaire, that is just ******. The guy is obviously someone to fear, winning his title in 8 pro fights!

How many people here have actually seen mathebula fight?
I don't know who'll win, but if I had to bet, I'd bet on the fight going over 10 rounds

This is what people are talking about when they say overhyped. 12 fights for titles? Beating Montiel was a candidate for upset of the year? Bringing up the Vic KO in 2012?

I guess I'll be the one to say.

once Donaire steps up to the Mexican competition @ and around his weight class, he will get knocked out.
