Well at 140 its even more of a clear victory for floyd. floyd rips chavez apart. chavez never lands anything meaningful all the way to a clear 12 rd ud.

god-fr33, prior to the fight between julio cesear (sp) chavez, and pernell sweetpea whitaker, everybody thought, that julio chavez would get to pernell whitaker, the way he got to pernell whitaker's olympic stablemate, meldrick taylor, i think one of the reasons, why pernell "sweat pea" whitaker, was able to handle julio chavez, was because julio chavez, was moving up in weight from 140 lbs. to fight pernell whitaker @ 147 lbs. and pernell whitaker, was much more natural at the weight...that fight, definitely showcased pernell whitaker's excellent defense, which is why i thought julio chavez, out of frustration, resorted to hitting pernell whitaker, on the thighs, and below the belt, but pernell whitaker, deaded that nonsense, with a brutal lowblow...lol

The contracted weight was 145lbs. Yeah, that's what I am saying. You couldn't just have great lateral movement against a calculated pressure fighter like Chavez. He was going to hit you. He was just one of those fighters you couldn't run from. You had to be able to MOVE your entire body out of the way of punches. Whitaker had excellent legs that nobody else had my man. He could dodge any punch. Pep and Floyd got hit way more than Pea did and Pea did it against THE BEST opposition possible. They couldn't touch him defensively.
