    Leonard by K.O.

SRL is a top five all-time great in my opinion. He had no weaknesses and nobody prepared for the big fight like Leonard. He was damn near unbeatable. No fighter today would beat him. Everyone thinks Floyd is so great but I know different. He doesn't challenge himself enough to even be thought of as an opponent for a ring immortal like Ray. Ray is too fast, too big, too tough, punches too hard, and is too smart. Floyd has NO advantages here; his defense is only "great" against average opposition. Fighters like Ray, Hearns, Whitaker, Duran, and Chavez would HIT him and hit him often. You see how an old Oscar made a good account of himself for 8 rounds and was up by a round when Floyd swept 9-12. How would a prime Oscar have faired? You know the one that would dance on his toes and make the smaller fighter not look so good? The wone who didn't get tired from throwing a great left jab? Or how about how Judah knocked him down with a counter right hook? Or when Castillo was in his chest for 12 rounds and pounded him to the body? How about most recently when Cotto made him miss over half his shots? He landed 26% against Cotto. SAD. When Cotto bounced on his toes, it confused Floyd a little. Great fantasy fight on paper but in the ring it would have looked similar to May Sr./Leonard except lil Floyd wasn't as tough and would have gotten K.O.'ed.

Mayweather is just as strong mentally as he is physically strong, because you have to be mentally tough to deal with the stuff he deals with he's not just fighting against the fighter he's fighting against the media and most of the fans too, Mayweather is a special fighter.

dude, i strongly advise you, to do some homework, on ray charles leonard, aka sugar ray leonard, who was everything that fmj is now, (and then some) in the late 70's and owned 80's boxing....sugar ray leonard, was the cash cow fighter/media darling, who inherited the throne, from muhammad ali...only difference is, sugar ray leonard, was a class act....

everybody thought that sugar ray leonard, was a hyped up media fluke, and had tons of negative press, until he beat hof/atg wilfredo benitez, who was a great defensive fighter, by tko..sugar ray leonard, turned his back on boxing, after winning the olympic gold medal, only to turn pro, when his father fell gravely ill, and needed financial help...also, sugar ray leonard, went thru *******/alcohol depression, marital problems, etc. when he retired after beating kevin howard @ 147 lbs. in 1984, only to come back to beat marvelous marvin hagler, for the undisputed 160 lb. title, in 1987...thats a special fighter, my man...now, compare that to floyd mayweather jr., taking off 18 months, to come back, and fight juan manuel marquez, great fighter imo, but had to come up from lightweight, to welterweight, to fight floyd mayweather jr, at a catchweight that he welched on...

in no way am i trying to hate on floyd mayweather jr., but to date, i can't think of any fighter, that floyd mayweather jr. has beat, that would rank as high on anyone's atg list, as the murderer's row that sugar ray leonard faced, in thomas "hit" man hearns, wilfredo benitez, roberto "hands of stone" duran, and marvelous marvin hagler...all atg fighters that sugar ray leonard, beat in his prime...thats why when this topic comes up, most educated betting folk, who know that floyd mayweather jr, is the flavor of the moment, will side with sugar ray leonard, based on his track record, against all time great fighters..

i guess that manny pacquaio would qualify, as a future atg fighter that, if mayweather beat, would put him closer to the status that sugar ray leonard enjoys years after retiring for good from boxing, but to date, floyd mayweather jr., hasn't made a fight with manny pacquaio, citing health reasons, after first demanding olympic style drug testing, then looking to pimp, 100% of the live gate...

Thats not Floyd fault that he's better than everybody in this era , but it's not hard to see that floyd has the skills to be great in any era, and i'm not just saying that other older all time great fighter's have said it. Evander holyfield etc have said it, i mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. And Stop it with the Floyd Sr was anywhere near Floyd jr. as far as skills go Floyd was sparring alot of great fighters when he was like 17 giving them the business, didn't chavez loose to frankie randell floyd was schooling him in at 17 in sparring, and whitaker. Floyd always had the skills and thats for any era miss me with that bs of leornard knocking him out dominating him nobody is saying Floyd can never loose but nobody is knocking him out or dominating him from any era.

god-fr33, simply put, a fight with sugar ray leonard, and floyd mayweather jr., would result in sugar ray leonard, *****slapping, floyd mayweather jr., around the ring (word)

wtf do you think srl is gonna do to a boxer who has yet to face a legit prime hall of fame opposition?
