Sergio Martinez should move to 168 while its hot.

I disagree the guys at 168 are huge. They will all move to 175 or have been at 175 at some point. Martinez should just atay at 160 and fight the best there.
The same reason why cotto, manny, floyd shouldnt fight him is why he shouldnt foght the super middles.Comment

Martinez is wasting his own career. He is not trying to unify Middleweight and he is not trying to move up to face known names like Froch or Ward. He should have been the one to expose Bute but no it was Froch. He is trying to pick on a smaller Floyd and an inexperienced Julio. There is no sympathy from me that Sergio is still a nobody. He had his chances to take more risks in order to becoming bigger like he wanted but no. Instead he fought people like Dzinziruk and Barker. Well done Sergio.
And watch he will stay away from fighters like Pirog, Golovkin, and Quillin.Comment

I think he's quite happy feasting on average fighters whilst being paid by HBO to do so.
If he stops getting paid so well for each touches he might be forced to face some of the good 154 or 160 guys, but until then he'll keep to the same routineComment

Unlike Bute they are top contenders. Well besides Pirog but that is pretty much a paper belt. Golovkin and Quillin are top contenders trying to reach the top. They are not highly touted #2 or #3 Middleweights in the world.Comment

I can't make heads or tails what you're saying. You're saying Bute wasn't a top contender, but for some reason Golovkin and Quillin are? And that Pirog isn't a contender compared to Golovkin and Quillin? That makes zero sense. Bute has has fought several top 10 guys like Johnson, Bika, and Andrade. Not big world beaters, but solid fighters to have in a resume. Pirog at least has Jacobs. Golovkin and Quillin have fought absolutely no one of note in their pro career. Even Chavez, who you call "inexperienced," has a better resume than Golovkin, Pirog, and Quillin. And Chavez is a title holder for all the moaning you're doing about unifying!Comment

Being that it is universal knowledge that Pacman cannot compete with Martinez, no need to even mention that fight. But the biggest & most competitive fight to be made under 168 is still Floyd-Martinez.
But since Floyd is trying to pass Martinez off to supermiddleweights Martinez should ask Dirrel for a catchweight of 164.Comment

What I was getting at is that Martinez only wants a smaller Floyd and inexperienced Chavez while not even trying to pursue other fights. He couldn't get either of those two or Cotto or Pacquiao so instead he wasted his time with Dzinziruk and Barker. Those type of fights don't do anything for him. At least Golovkin and Quillin are highly regarded and talked about within the boxing world. More importantly he should be looking at fights with Sturm, Geale, and Pirog. If he doesn't want to move up and can't fight the biggest names around him then he should try to unify the Middleweight division (besides Chavez because we all know he isn't getting that fight). If the Chavez fight doesn't happen next and he still doesn't get a Cotto or Mayweather, who will he fight next? I bet him and Dibella don't look at Pirog, Geale, or Sturm as options.Comment
