It depends which you like more. Froch, Kessler or Dirrell, Pascal, Bute, Taylor.
    Ward hasn't beaten Johnson.

Ward has the quality, Kessler and Froch.

But Froch has the quality and quantity, as it stands.

Pascal, Bute, Taylor, Johnson, Dirrell, Abraham.

It's Froch for me, as it stands.

Right now Ward has a better resume.
Ward at this point clearly does not have a better resume then Froch...Johnson over Bika and Dirrell over anybody else on his resume...Oh and no gift needed,it was a close enough fight that the outcome was not a gift..I thought Froch beat Kessler, but would not call that victory for Kessler a gift..To close of a fight to do that...Froch's resume(esp in the time span)over Wards...It's close but clear...

I don't think Dirrell beat Froch. I had Froch winning. Maybe it was close either way. But, at the end of the day Dirrell didn't deserve such a W cuz' of the way he fought. And, lol @ anyone calling that a gift...It was a close fight. Just because a close fight goes the opposite way of how you score it doesn't mean it's a gift.

          Agreed.

If there is a hall of fame without Carl Froch in it then you have to ask what more do you have to do to get in.

I thought he lost to Dirrell but it was close, could have gone either way.

Taylor was the heavy favourite to win, and was 30 seconds from winning........................................The n get knocked out.

Abraham was heavy favourite to beat him, shut out.

Ward possibly has a better resume as it stands at 168, it's arguable after Froch's win tonight.

            Who else?

You're saying it's Ward. Froch is 2nd then? Or who else?
Well losses do count and lopsided losses hurt your resume.

I give him credit for winning fights where he was the underdog.

Ward beat Froch by near shut out and Froch lost to Kessler who Ward also dominated. Gotta take this stuff into account.

Wait a minute, a win over Dirrell is better than any win on Ward's resume? Including Froch?

i honestly thought Ward beat Johnson. Must have mixed him up with when Allan Green got his ass whooped.

Oh well it's not a big issue. The weight class is really developing and with it's ****ty history (the great fighters not fighting each others. Most great 168 fighters moving up quickly etc) the "GOAT 168" can change from year to year.

If Ward beats Dawson it's not a discussion in my opinion. Same if Froch beats Kessler.

In the long run i would be surprised if Ward is not the goat at 168 when all is said and done.

Absolutely. That's why I made sure I said, as it stands.

Right now, I think Froch has the best resume of all time at 168. That could literally change within a year.

I think it will end up being Ward. But right now, it's probably Froch.

With a few more wins he's in. Impressive lately, if he keeps it up 100% yes.

Ward probably has the best two wins - Kessler and Froch.

It's clear that Froch certainly has more depth as it stands.
