I always thought this too. On the stand, she said she was not going to sue Tyson, she just wanted justice. Within a week of his conviction she filed a civil suit against him. The judge should have let Tyson out and locked her up for perjury.
Also, Tyson's lawyer strategy was to portray Tyson as an animal. He said everyone including Desiree knew this thus she knew what she was asking for going up to his room. Many legal experts have said not only was this a risky defense, it bordered on incompetence.

Since im a lawyer and i have studied this case before and read
books about it, other than that i have seen a lot of stuff which
proves that ***** was a gold digger, she had that reputation from
the start, she has blamed 2 other guys in the past, does everyone

I have studied the case, and this is what really happened

Many who saw her at the Miss Black America pageant in Indianapolis thought of her as a perfect all-American girl.

Desiree came from a family in which both parents thought the
world of her. To her parents, she could do not wrong, This
need to be perfect resulted in the emergence of a most different
Desiree persona. She definately had a wild side, hidden from her
family and quite the opposite of her strict, controlled religious
baptist life. There were those at the pagaent who saw that side of her but no one saw it like Mike did.

Mike was Desiree's family hero and here he was, one of the pagaent judges, the pagaent promoters instructed mike to try to be friendly with the young women in the pagaent, which was no problem for him. Thousands of women had done what they could do to meet him since he became "the champ" so his sexual overtones were quite natural.

Mike was perfect to Desiree, she saw him as an all-good.. so when
Mike called her at her hotel after midnight, the die was cast

going with him then was exactly what she hoped for and going to
bed with him was precisely what her goal was, they drove around his limo for awhile, then returned to the hotel, they were seen

He also got to choose the judge, something that is singularly allowed in Indiana.

As our society becomes more belligerent, retribution seems to be the only reason left for handing out punishment. We almost seem afraid to recognize the truth, the truth is becoming adversary when it should be our best fried, we are becoming borderline society and if we dont jumpstart our ability to reason and think, it will get worst.

i google and found a lot of articles about people who agree that they though that tyson was innocent, first of all she knew tyson was out of control and if she follow him up to his hotel what did she expect to happen? when they are alone? why didnt she break out after he ****d her? why wait until she came back to her hotel?. i know tyson is not reliable but in this case i belivie him.

So, because she should of known it would happen, that meant it was ok? Until this attitude changes, **** victims will always feel guilty about coming forward.
