you're the one who doesn't have much info pertaining to the case. Why'd Desiree brag about it to friends if she was ****d? Her friend wasn't allowed to testify. Hell, nobody for Tyson's defense was allowed to testify. That former boyfriend of hers, the white dude, wasn't allowed to testify either. She had accused him of **** too.

She accused Tyson of **** b/c she was a beauty pageant contestant and they can't **** b/c of morality rules. She lied to her father about being ****d by Tyson, and the former boyfriend as well, b/c her father had put all his money into his daughter's career as a beauty pageant contestant. She would've been made ineligable had it got out that she was having sex.

And even according to her own testimony, she went into the bathroom of the hotel room, alone, locked the door and took of her panty liner. There was a very visible telephone in that bathroom that she could've used to call the cops, call hotel security or anything if she had been in any trouble. Tyson's lawyer even questioned her about it.

Tyson went to jail b/c he was black and a man accused of **** anyhow. And b/c people didn't love Tyson anyhow at that point.

Kobe Bryant was fairly beloved. Tyson, in 1992, was already the bad guy. And he'd already lost a match, proven to no longer be superman.

Seriously, how many guys period beat **** accusations anyhow? I'm not saying most of them aren't guilty b/c the vast majority probably are, but you know it'd be easy for a girl to try manipulating a guy or just try getting revenge by crying **** when it really wasn't. Then it is all circumstancial evidence and the jury is going to be out to believe the female 99% of the time.

I don't believe for a second that Tyson ****d that girl. He went to a beauty pageant and chose her. He could've had any other contestant he wanted, not to mention basically any woman he wanted period. Had she said no, I'm sure they had other girls more than willing to **** Tyson.

I just don't believe he did it. First, the evidence doesn't add up to **** at all. The girl had supposedly already been ****d. I've known some **** victims and the couple I've known have been very stand-offish. Who could blame them? They don't want to be put in such a horrible position again. So for this former **** victim to be going with Tyson up to his hotel suite doesn't make any sense.

And it doesn't make any sense for Tyson to **** a girl when there was a rather unlimited supply of other girls he could've had in a second. Apparently he could've had a better looking girl too b/c Desiree wasn't the beauty pageant winner, just a contestant. Which yeah, they don't always decide those things on who looks the best, that's for damn sure.

Exactly, and there was also no evidence except some testaments.

I know plenty about the case and if this is any representation of what you know about it, you're the one who's in the dark about it, my friend. What, did you read a single one page article about the trial/case, and now all of a sudden you're a know-it-all?

First off, the defense did have witnesses on behalf of Tyson, as a few of the beauty pageant contestants testified on his behalf and were also there to help Fuller paint the picture of Tyson being a "sexual predator". Madelyn Whittington, Tonya Traylor, and Jacqueline Boatwright all testified that Tyson was making sexual advances on them, be it by grabbing their asses or by him straight out asking them for sex (they all outright declined Tyson's sexual advances, which kinda throws your last and third to last paragraphs completely out the window).

Tyson also had another witness, who may have been his best one, fail to show up in court. Dale Edwards was the closest to both Desiree & Tyson throughout the night (he was right outside the door when they were in the hotel room), and could've backed up whatever story Tyson had came up with in court...For whatever reason, he failed to show up to testify.

There were also three woman who weren't allowed to testify on Tyson's behalf, and that's because the defense didn't bring them fourth until the trial was nearly a week old, which was well after Tyson himself had already taken the stand. These three woman were supposedly going to testify that they saw Tyson & Givens making out in the limo, which was the story Tyson had told the court previously...Remember this is the same Mike Tyson who, in court, couldn't remember having sex the night before the Desiree incident with a rythym & blues singer by the name of Angie B (who gave a deposition), even though in the grand jury arraignment from nearly a year before, Tyson did recall the details of his evening with the singer. As a matter of fact, there was much of Tyson's court story which changed from when he was originally questioned, and much of it had to do with his actions/conversations from that fateful night (including his supposed intentions with Desiree...he originally denied any conversations that had to do with his intentions of having sex, but during the trial he point out said that was clearly his intentions and he said he made it known to Desiree). Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not going to believe a guy who can't remember the night before, but professes to have a clear mind of every little detail of what happened on the night of the ****, and yet has also changed his story pretty drastically over that time. These three "witnesses" were only supposed to be there to confirm a story told by a proven liar, and they weren't made aware to the courts until well after Tyson took the stand...you know, when the defense was already feeling immense pressure to turn things around at all costs($$$)! That's the prosecutions claim that these three woman were paid off in exchange for their testimony...why else would they come forth so late in the trial and when the defense was losing the case?

If you think she would've been made ineligible if it was found out that she "only had sex", why wouldn't she just not mention it at all? That was always an option, don't you think?

"according to her own testimony, she went into the bathroom of the hotel room, alone, locked the door and took off her panty liner."

Sorry, but that's a load of crap! Read that line again, would you?

I don't have a single mention of that statement in any of my sources, and I would STRONGLY doubt that was ever said by Desiree in court...you think the jury is going to convict Tyson of **** if that was actually said by Desiree? Come on, man...That's a case killer for any prosecution right there, and had she said that, she would've given a very clear picture that her intention was to have sex. The jury would have NEVER convicted Tyson if she had said that in court...Sorry bro!

And as far as the telephone in the bathroom goes, Desiree wouldn't have any need for the telephone at that particular point in time, because she didn't feel in any real danger (Tyson made some non-threatening comments about "wanting her", but nothing aggressive). She had gone to the bathroom to get away from Tyson for a short period of time (about 10 or 15 minutes), and then once Tyson's western was over on television, she came out and asked Mike if they were going to follow through on their previous plans to go out to a couple of celebrity parties...Tyson ****d her only a few moments later, after she had sat back down at the very end of the bed.

Tyson didn't go to jail because he was a black man. He went to jail because a jury hearing all of the testimony/evidence against Mike thought that he, without a shadow of a doubt, had committed the crime of ****. Even the two black members of the jury found Tyson guilty of raping a black woman, so I don't know how you can view this as a race thing...It pitted black against black!

I think I've said this in this thread already, but there was physical evidence...Desiree was checked out the next day, when after she first reported the ****, she then went to get checked out by a gynecologist. And when she was looked at by that gynecologist, she was found to have abrasions in her vagina...not a single abrasion, but abrasions, meaning there were more than one of them (there were two, actually). Those abrasions, according to all of the gynecologists present in court besides a Mrs. Watambe (another Tyson witness), were consistent with the party partaking in nothing less than "rough sex" or possibly "****".

however, she could have had consentual "rough sex" with tyson and then decided there was money in it for her to say ****! after all, who'd believe tyson if he said he didnt **** her? especially after robyn 'the gold digger' givens stories of get beat the **** down on national tv. people want to believe that tyson is an animal, rapist, ear biter ( ok, he really did byte holy's ear off, but u get the idea )

This is what I know of the incident because I think that Tyson didn't do it.

Yes they went to Tyson's hotel. It just there is something with this. Desiree was having her period and wore a special type of under wear and it was shown that she decided to leave the under wear in the bathroom. another one is that they have a telephone in the bathroom so if he was being a problem then she could have called for help.

another was that people who were to come to Tyson's aid in the trial were for some reason not able to testify. if the court is suppose to be impartial to get the right decision then how come they didn't let them testify. and if they really thought he was guilty then why did he only get 3 years?

and because he has denied it I think he is innocent.

Whatever, I think you're full of ****. You're racist I think. Just assume Tyson did it b/c he's black and b/c you don't like him.

Go ahead, ignore the clear truth. Even three of the jurors said they'd have changed their verdicts if the white former boyfriend could've testified.

if he ****d her, she would defend her self. tyson would had grip her hands, in that occasion she would also had bruise and abrasion on her hands, arm and body. but there were no sign of that beside in her vagina which could easily came from natural sex.

Go ahead, ignore the clear truth. Even three of the jurors said they'd have changed their verdicts if the white former boyfriend could've testified.
                  LOL!

Yeah bro, I'm certainly must be racist, seeing as how I married a woman who is half black and have had a child with her. Also my best boxing bud just happens to be black, and if I was to show this to him, he'd friggin' laugh at you.

Nah man, I ain't racist in the least. I have looked up to & admired plenty of black men during my lifetime, and if you knew me from different boxing forums, you'd know that I have spent much time championing many of the great black fighters from the past who have been largely forgotten nowadays (like Sam Langford, Peter Jackson, George Dixon, Panama Joe Gans, George Godfrey, Ike Williams, Kid Chocolate, etc., etc...just a few of my favourite historical fighters and they all happen to be black)

But you are correct in saying that I don't like Mike Tyson, because I don't at all. ****, even if he wasn't convicted of raping Desiree Washington, I would no doubt think he's a ****ing scumbag...Unlike yourself, I don't look up to, nor will I ever feel sorry for some **** up who has committed as many de****able acts as he has during his lifetime.

And if you think I'm "full of ****" then you need to do just a bit more reading there, my friend, because everything I've written about the trial in this thread (and other threads) can be found by taking a short trip over to your friendly neighborhood library...Of course, that's if you have the attention span capable of reading more than that single one-page article that you looked up on the net.

Yeah, so you looked at all the white racist books about Tyson that they have at your local library huh. How about the actual facts? Look at all of the evidence that wasn't allowed in the Tyson case.

Seriously, find me a single book on Tyson since 1990 that isn't out to demonize and crucify Tyson.

One thing you still haven't addressed is the FACT that Desiree Washington had previously accused a former white boyfriend of raping her. Mainly the FACT that he wasn't allowed to testify. She told her father that she was ****d by that guy to keep from getting in trouble with her dad. That isn't just from a single article. I've seen it in at least a couple articles and on a TV special where they interviewed that guy (which is the only reason I know he was white), and three jurors from the case, all of which said they now don't believe Tyson was really guilty. All of them said they would have had a not guilty verdict if they had heard that guy's testimony. FACT. Explain how Tyson is still guilty.

You try to believe Tyson ****d this girl solely because you don't like him. Because if you actually looked at the evidence, you'd know (as you really do, I think) that Tyson didn't **** that ****. Maybe you're not racist then, fine, but you've admitted that you don't like him b/c of his so-called vile acts or whatever.

Thousands - because it's estimated that less than 10% are reported.
