well according to the article pac vs cotto did 1.4m ppv

mayweather vs cotto and mosley vs canelo did 1.5m ppv

mayweather needs another 2 big names to boost his numbers it seems while pac has his own and one other only

Doesn't matter because Ariza already said that Arum don't want the fight.

Bob Arum is still upset Floyd Mayweather walked away from Top Rank and achieved much more success without him. He will never see Floyd Mayweather and his fighter on equal footing. That's one of the real reason the fight hasn't happened. Unfortunately some of the die hard Pac fans think the same way Bob Arum thinks. Floyd Mayweather will never be as great as their fighter no matter what. Pac/Bradley won't break a mil PPV. Pac supporters will find someway to justify that against Mayweather numbers.

This article is garbage. Mayweather has had 4 fights in a row with 1 million plus from JMM, Mosley, Ortiz and Cotto.

For Mosley, DLH, Cotto Hatton May outsold Pac. It took Pac 3 tries with JMM to beat mayweathers numbers. There is no comparison so Paktards are reduced to making excuses for why Floyds are better.

Not sure where Jake got his numbers from, but Pac-Cotto did 1.25

Yea you're talking about something totally different than what his point is.

600,000 broke mexicans bought Cotto-Mayweather only to see the Canelo fight and then they turned off the TV and didnt even watch mayweather. So that fight really only did 900k PPV

No. it took Pac one fight at WW with JMM to beat floyd numbers.

Fights under LW don't sell as much as fights at LW and above. History and the numbers proves it.

I guarantee one thing, If the Pac/Bradley fight breaks 1 million buys I will be shocked.

I will buy the fight, but most do not know who Bradley is. Pac might get lucky though since Timothy has two first names. The casual fan might think Pac is taking on two guys at the same time. Pac is fighting Timothy and Bradley

No offense, but IF Floyd is the #1 draw, the addition of Cotto & Canelo should've jumped the PPV buys to at least 1.7 to 1.8 million buys.

Mayweather-Ortiz did 1.2 million buys, even though many insiders claim it did under 1 million. Adding Cotto and Canelo makes up the difference.
Cotto has never headlined a card and even came close to 1million and canelo has never headlines a card
