plus Arum is lying...he wants Pacman to match Mone'y's figures....how are you gonna make a proposition if you have no idea on the eating habbits of your opposition?!?...duh

Pacquiao doesn't care about Floyd's figure at all what's the big deal. Gay can put whatever amounts he wants who cares. Fight Pacquiao 50-50.

For Mayweather, it is what it is; he's well compensated financially so the hate he gets comes with the territory. As long as there is someone else--and it doesn't matter if they are less talented than Floyd--to confer honors on they'll do it. Overlooking the obvious has been a trademark of how the media has covered Floyd's career since Manny's popularity began to rise. To some, there was finally a palatable champion someone they could rally around that wasn't the arrogant and hated Mayweather.
I've always looked at the comparisons between the two fighters to be more illusion than fact and the numbers are no different. No matter how unreasoning Pacquiao's fans are, their ignorance stops at the door of the financiers and folks that bankroll fights. If they were terrible businessmen they’d throw the huge sums of money at Pacquiao like they do at Mayweather. Floyd's 32 million guarantee really puts any talk of numbers to rest because the more valuable fighter and earner is Floyd Mayweather.
But in the magical world of Pacquiao people are free to believe what they want as long as it denigrates Mayweather and bolster their tin god Pacquiao.
The egregiousness doesn't come from the fact that the numbers haven't been released, on the contrary, the problem I have is that anything connected to Pacquiao can't be questioned or better yet, examined.
Actually you're wrong, Manny's fans don't think at all like Bob Arum thinks because Arum is a cold and logical businessman, while Manny's fans are a salivating mindless mob of zombies. They parrot any news that's bad for Mayweather as if it were John 3:16, and celebrate anything Pacquiao does as if he were God.
With Pacquiao fans it's not so much about "justification," people that justify things are aware on some level that their logic is untenable. But the Pacquiao fanatic has no such awareness just blind unyielding belief.
No, this article isn't garabage, it's a coronation announcement for "anyone but Mayweather."

LOL at the "arguments" posted in this thread. Just pathetic the length some guys will go about numbers and why a fight sold more than the other. One guy has consistently sold more PPVs than the other guy with common opponents, so why keep arguing over it?
