One thing is for sure, Canelo better get his hard hat ready, because this will not be like anything he's ever been in before. This will be a war, as P-Will doesn't know any other way to fight.

It'll be very interesting to see how Canelo handles the pressure, and even more so, can he dispose of the Punisher if it gets later in the fight where Paul's chin seems to be better and his pressure really gets cranked up?

People gotta realize that Canelo's last fights he has not been under any type of intense pressure, beating either nobodies or washed up veterans.

Williams will bring it, he will throw a ****load of punches and Canelo can't just fight in a few bursts per round and expect to get away with that.

I'm excited about this one!! I stated before the confirmation that this fight would never happen cos of the risk/reward, and I wonder what Golden Boy are thinking...

I haven't been this excited for a fight in years. PW is my boy, my favorite fighter in the sport, and I've been hoping he'd get a shot like this for years. I gotta give major props to Canelo. I've hated on some of his fight choices in the past, but he didn't have to take a fight like this one. He could have certainly gotten away with fighting someone who was of zero risk. Win or lose my respect level for Canelo just went through the roof. As for the fight itself it's a flat our war. PW's chin is not shot, if it was Lara would have blacked him out with the shots he landed. PW may have gotten smashed in that fight, but I learned a few things watching it in person. Lara is unreal good and you can see why people don't want to fight him, PW's chin and will to fight are still there, and he has zero answer for an athletic counter punching southpaw. However, Canelo is none of those things. Canelo does not have elite lateral movement, isn't a great counter puncher, and isn't a southpaw. He also had a tendency to go through long stretches of not throwing punches and waiting for the other guy to stop throwing before he throws. That gets you beat against PW. I also love how PW is supposedly chinny and Kirkland isn't according to some. Last I checked PW has only been knocked down ever by 1 guy, Martinez, who's one of the hardest punchers in the sport. Kirkland got KO'ed by Ishida, a guy who had single digit KO's and who lost every single round in his fight against PW. Yet some want to say Kirkland is a tougher fight for Canelo than PW. PW is the second toughest fight he could make in September at 154, behind only Lara.

Like i've said before, i feel a lot of the hate Canelo has received is unwarranted. Its hard to say a 21 year old fighter is being groomed...it seems to me he knows he's ready to compete with top level opposition and i commend him for doing so

I think Williams is a much tougher opponent than Kirkland, even at this stage in his career. To me, Kirkland is just as chinny as Paul is, with half of the work rate and boxing ability. Plus, after watchng Kirkland-Molina, we don't even know which Kirk will show up.

Williams is a guarantee to put on a show, even if that show ends with him laying face-first, unconscious on the mat....with his eyes open....

I still think this is a joke of a ppv. This will be canelos first real test and his third or fourth million dollar pay day.

some people are just whinny babies first because La Canela don't fight dangerous oponents naw has one in front of him (very dangerous) and this people still crying...grow up!!!! I don't like Canelo and I think Williams will win this......but BIG Props to Canelo for steping up to the plate!!!!!
