P.Will's style is no good for Canelo. Canelo is relatively slow and William's work rate will win him most of the rounds. I think Williams can hurt Canelo too. Hell, Hatton shook him up a few times! Only way I see Canelo winning is by KO or gift decision. Regardless, this is going to be an exciting fight. Glad Canelo is finally fighting a top contender.

Canelo has good punch timing and good punch placement. If his stamina is good he gots this but pwills gonna make it a dog fight! This will be entertaining!

Williams has not KO anyone since late 2008 (other than Kermit doing an impression of superman flying out of the ring). I don't expect a KO and probably go to a decision. I suspect Williams will win (with fair judging) on work rate as both defense are poor. But Canelo's relative speed and movement is poor compare to say Lara.

This fight seems like some kind of gimmick to me. The only reason why GBP is offering it to Williams, is because they can discern a noticeable decline in his skills and believe that he is no longer the fighter, he once was since the KO loss to Martinez. In other words, they believe Paul is very vulnerable at this time and that Canelo should handle him quite easily like he did Shane Mosley. Otherwise, they wouldn't have come nowhere near him at this current stage of his career, if they believe he was at full strength. For this reason alone, I hope that Paul Williams upsets their plans and comes out victoriously.
