The Eubank-Watson-Benn era was just classic for British boxing fans, even if a real cloud of sadness hangs over it.

And from those fighters (and Steven Collins) Chris was my fave, at the start because no-one liked him; and eventually, cos he was a true warrior.

I remember vividly listening to his fights against Calzaghe and Collins (x2) on my poxy radio, and being so sad about him losing (having being given hope during each fight as he mustered mini-revivals).

I once saw delahoya on ppv tv but his fight with tito didnt really catch my attention

a year later i was like 16 i remember a friend replaying The vargas and shivbota or whatever his name same year different friend had a vhs tape with delahoya chavez 1 and barrera- hamed ,and i was impressed with boxing .




That was enough to say i think i found a new sport i like around that time tyson was out of prison so boxing had hella bad asses
